B&O Avant and Deezer not working anymore


How does one re-connect Deezer Premium to a B&O Avant smart television? For the past several days, I have not been able to access Deezer through the television. The Deezer window will open but does not give me access to any music.

Thanks again! Today I tried again and left the router unplugged for a much longer period of time. I also changed the Deezer account password. The music is finally back! Could you please provide me with a brief explanation of why this happened and how to prevent it from happening again in the future.

When you say that you don't have access to your music, what is exactly happening?

Thank you for your response. The topic link you sent to me unfortunately did not answer my question which originally could have been a very vague on. Specifically, when I launch Deezer music via my Beoremote 1 to the Bang and Olufsen 55" Avant (year 2014 production), the Deezer screen will pop up on the Avant. The screen will read "Welcome to Deezer" with a spinning - loading wheel beneath it. Up until last week, the next screen with the Deezer menu (my music, flow; etc.) would pop up. Unfortunately, over the past week after numerous tries, the "Welcome to Deezer" screen does not advance to the next one even after waiting for up to ten minutes. Consequently, I cannot access any music on Deezer through the television.

Thanks for coming back with more info.

So I've checked on our side and it seems that another user reported a similar issue with the login taking over 4 minutes to complete. It was being investigated by our devs, but before I go back to them with this current problem, would you mind trying the following troubleshooting to see if it helps?

1) Change your Deezer password
2) Remove the app from your TV and switch it off
3) Switch your router off for about 3 minutes
4) Switch everything back on and reinstall the app

Thank you again for your prompt response regarding the B&O Avant issue I have been having with Deezer. Just yesterday I decided to upgrade to HiFi Deezer thinking that would make a difference in connection, but unfortunately not the case. I will try the steps that you sent me and keep you posted. Unfortunately, I do not believe there is a way to actually remove the Deezer app from the television for it is actually software that is permanently installed by Bang & Olufsen, and I cannot see anyway to delete it from the television. If I am incorrect about this, please let me know.

There could be a multitude of things which prevented the app from working properly - so I'm unable to give you the right answer. But I can tell you that rebooting the router for a bit longer than usual could've prompted a new 'connection' to be established between internet and the app. Or something in the background had to be refreshed.

just posted same problem on another thread.Same thing happened on my B&O Avant smart tv of same vintage as above,which came with Deezer pre-installed. Tried rebooting router  after long delay and changed Deezer password as above,but so far no joy.Will try again-but any further thoughts would be much appreciated

Same probleem on my Avant 55 and Beoplay V1, all at the same time. No connection to Deezer no spinning wheel. Also after applying alle suggestions. I stopped  Deezer on my B&O!

hi kevin-tried switching off router, and resetting deezer password -didnt change anything…

however i tried looking at my accounts/apps as you said.Listed apps i have are

-chromecast0)for google nest device in kitchen.

BO smart TV

google assistant

chrome cast v5

But under devices -no devices shown.This is strange as iPhone and iPad work ok.

I joined deezer whilst in the US via deezer .com-would that be a problem? However, deezer has worked fine up until now on B&O tv>

The uk-joined Deezer whilst visiting family in US

I also switched  off tv

logged on to Deezer .com And removed B&o app under my apps

then tried opening Deezer on tv

got welcome to Deezer screen with spinning wheel

then… nothing

Well-yesterday tried Deezer again on my avant and bingo-it worked fine .Sat lazily listening thru Deezer today and after an hour music stopped.Tried everything to restart—but no Deezer won’t even get to open screen.

why did B&O ditch Spotify app?

I have the same problem on my B&O Avant 55, 2015.

”Welcome to Deezer” and then it gets stuck.

Deezer for Apple Tv = Problem solved!

Hi everyone,

We have the same issue here. The Deezer app on our Avant 55 isn’t working anymore.

I contacted my B&O reseller for some help but after a few mails, he told me there was an issue withe the  app on the TV and that they where looking for an answer.

After a few months of no response from B&O, I contacted them myself and finally they told me Deezer changed something in there service.

I hope Deezer and B&O will work together to find a solution to this matter.
