Spring is in the air

Spring is in the air, and the sap is (or soon will be ) rising in tree and flower, man, woman and beast.

What is going to be the soundtrack to users’ lives as we begin to get out and about in the post-lockdown weeks ahead?

How does good ol’ boy country sound to people: Brooks & Dunn or the like.

I can remember racing in the street (don’t try it) to Dire Straits, Fleetwood Mac, and indeed “Racing in the Street” by the Boss.

I’ve flirted with djent and hybrid metal as driving music (R.I.P. Chester).

What about music for sitting on a sunny park bench with a scotch egg? Dua’s magnificent “Don’t Start Now” has pointed me at a branch of music I hadn't really got into before.

Then there’s Steely Dan - a timeless accompaniment to anything and everything.

I’d love some more ideas. Over to you….

oh absolutely the progressive (trance) playlists!

I adore these guys outside the spring season, but I find this music very pleasant when the sun starts appearing and the world is getting a bit less grey :sunny:

Introducing: Tinlicker!

@Martijn.Keymis I must try more of this. I have been getting into post- and ambient prog - love Riverside, Pineapple Thief, Gazpacho, etc. Intrigued by trance, but there’re always so much to listen to.

@Freezer true that!

The world is small, but the variety and availability of music is almost infinite :o

That’s what makes it so interesting to find new stuff , because you are never outsearched

Love the spring discussion here! :cherry_blossom::rosette::sunflower:

My feelings go to this at the moment, when I hear my daughter saying on the way to school: "look at these beautiful flowers, daddy!"

@Rudi, that is beautiful. I’m getting far more really fresh listening ideas from these threads than ever from a recommendation algorithm :-)

What spring? It is minus 7 in Finland right now. Will be up to minus 10 this night.

I so wait spring… but this feels more like a winter now here :D

When spring is here, my tunes will arrive...

Put another log on the fire, @hpguru :-)

This rocks - love the gorgeous voice over that simple ostinato figure.

What’s going on with my tastes? I was knocked out the other day by Kygo. And I’m a rock-blues-jazz-classical fetishist.

The finest temperature this winter was minus 25… This minus 10 is affordable.

The summer is usually anything from 20 to 30.

In finnish sauna it can get 90 degrees.

At least you have the culture of saunas everywhere, @hpguru:grin:

I love the Kygo's suggestion @Freezer damn...I'm also picking up some tastes from here too. My Flow is insane now! :money_mouth:

Hey, @hpguru  @Martijn.Keymis I listened to this EP that you posted—loud, driving in the sun, with the roof down.  Such great driving music. I got to be an old blues-rocker without ever knowing. It’s that off-beat bass that really makes it. OK, it’s not flash, it’s not rock’n’roll, and it may be sequenced for all I know - but I've been playing bass for over 25 years, and I couldn’t hit that amazing sweet spot behind the beat if I tried.

Thanks for your comment.

Anyone spring cleaning now? It seems like spring is here and snow is melting…

I clean my outside storage room when spring starts and so I will do soon that.

More than that I am spring cleaning my budget.

I took out EACH unnecessary euro based on her advice from my budget.

So I must survive €740 a month from now on. I save the rest even when income drops.

Make your money work for you this spring.
