Hi there.

In Finland this time of a year is mostly rain, so I can not use my Sony headphones with Bluetooth outside. Wired earphones are breaking, and I always swap them from warranty. I am tired of it.

I need your help to continue listening Deezer Premium in the loudest rain.

My aim is to purchase best Bluetooth earphones like Huawei models.

Huawei FreeBuds 3i which sells at €99 price point in DNA storage (my mobile provider).

I need them with noise cancelation as these Momentum earbuds from Sennheiser will take all the noise inside your music. Perhaps you can help us with this decision? What’s your favourite in the market? Perhaps you have months of experience with them? Let me know.

Whatever knowledge you have, write your chest out, or do you have anything else to suggest?

They should also be minimal and tiny, easy to use, and fast charge for a hour in minutes.

Because once I tune in to my Deezer Premium, I can listen for hours.

Thank you.

I love my Bose headphones!!!!

Thank you, what is the model and why do you love them so much?

I am for now on hold. Perhaps I wait when my current earphones will die, swap them from warranty to this wireless item, in this YouTube video. I could save money. Inside my current earphones €70.

Is not a big deal to use them to the end and swap from warranty.

Looking for suggestions and then on time I can make better purchase.

Oh wow @hpguru Rafael's headphones are really good. We have zoom calls together and the sound is brilliant. He let me have a good in the office too, it's very premium. The price is the worst bit, they're quite expensive. @Rafael. what's the model?

And what about Bluetooth earphones, without the cable?

I’ve seen them in a bus, someone was wearing, and I am interested now.

Honor Flypods

I mean who doesn’t like them? No cables at all.

AE2, got it a long time ago. It was my first experience with a noise-cancelling headphone and I got attached to it!

The sound is so clear and the mic is amazing!

Thanks Rafael.

I have similar to them Sony WH-1000XM3 which I do not like to use outside in rain or winter snow.

They will run out of warranty and they are €299 pair to waste. They are also bad outside because they take so much of a space and they do not honestly fit inside my tiny minimalist bag.

They are also hot inside the cups when in 20+ Celsius summer.

Today I visited my mobile provider, DNA shop, and bought Huawei Earbuds i3.

Seller said that this may be the best decision to get for that money (budget was €100).

99€ I was getting what I wanted, perhaps I will review them shortly here if anyone is interested.

https://consumer.huawei.com/en/audio/freebuds-3i/

I hope this will work.

My problem with Sennheiser Momentum earbuds is:

  • Cable is always on the road.
  • I need to swap them from warranty every 3-4-5-6 months, another earbud is no sound. Swap is free, but I am wasting time traveling to that store and swapping every 3-4-5-6 mo.
  • When I get them from pocket etc. I need to solve cable which is ridiculously time consuming. And these are not noise canceling, so almost everything can be heard outside.

This is why I am now happy DNA customer with €99 Huawei Freebuds i3.

I bought it in black because I think white will keep dirt on them.

I've got the Urbanista Paris model, @hpguru I really like them. But for noise cancellation, they have recently released the London model which seems really good.

The cool thing about Urbanista headphones is that they feel very Premium but the price isn't too high

But now that you mention Huawei, have you seen the FreeBuds Pro? It's insane!

Yes, I’ve seen Huawei FreeBuds at DNA shop yesterday.

He said that if I have only €100 to spend with my budget, this is the pair to go.

Like I said it was €99 item and I plan to review it. Perhaps I review shortly them now.

Seller didn’t recommend ANY model without active noise cancelation. I said to him, I would not accept anything less. On my Sony big headphones Bluetooth on and Noise Cancelation on nothing can be heard. This earbud does not work this good, but again you are not paying €299 for that.

Noise cancelation is not bad either. It easily removes 30 decibels of excess sound.

I use them now almost all the time when in bus, traveling to work and back, and also at work too to listen my music on Deezer Premium. The only bad thing about them, cable is not black. The earphones and case are. I had plenty of black cables, so it wasn’t a big deal. I didn’t lose my sleep.

Sound. It is very bassy. If you do not like bass, or perhaps too much of it, recommended to look elsewhere for more stable sound. Pairing is fast and in my honest test with Deezer Premium on my phone: playing time with earphones full is about 2,5 hours with noise cancelation.

You can get three hours of sound everything off. Sound awareness is good if you want to hear some of important sounds, like people talking around you. Honestly they do work the best with your phone on the go. With fully charged case you can charge them for 4 times at the most.

Deezer Premium and Huawei FreeBuds i3

With 15 minutes chargering time you can get extra hour of Deezer Premium. And this is good because 2,5 hours of a playback is not very impressive. Recommended to charge them in case everywhere when possible and then put before bed time reading to charge the case.

You’ll have energy for next day.

The case is full in about 2 hours, and earphones in about one hour.

Huawei Earbuds Freebuds i3 is a bit plastic feel in hands, and it indeed looks average, but they sound great. Anything is not falling or breaking either, so I think you can go with them for months. I recommend them if you hate cables, or you do not want to take big expensive headphones with you Bluetooth available. Mine are €299 pair of Sony, do not want to lose them.

Or to get them broken because of rain. They also take too much of a space.

These do almost same work, and are water resistant. The noise cancelation isn’t the same thing, but they do block most of the sounds. With buttons you can for pause or skip tracks (can be set on both side, for your favourite thing to do). Long press will change from off to noise cancelation and that to awareness mode. For laptop use it is suitable as well, but not the first thing I use on it.

In my tests they are not scratching, and Bluetooth connection is stable, even if phone is in different room or your pocket. The only problem you will get, if you go too far from them.

I think this is important to save your ability to hear. On my Sennheiser Momentum In-Ear in loud places like buses, I needed to listen at volume 12/15 in my phone, now 10/15 is enough. I do not need to increase it in ANY situation thanks to great noise cancelation. You can save your hearing.

Not only that: you can save your time from swapping earphones with broken cable all the time.

Warranty is good, but what about pair of earphones with no cables at all?

For 99 price point this is good item, and voice call quality is astonishing. No one complained even if I did call from outside with noisy wind next to me. Perhaps these may be good for your Deezer Premium as well? I hope this helped someone, and I did try to post one photo about them, thanks.

This is best buy for price, “hot dog of the town”, with every breath I take despite of plastic.

At least I can get that extra hour of Hard Dance on Deezer Premium w/ fast 15 minutes charge.

Still recommend them.

Easily whole day at work and traveling, free leisure time when out of home.

At black friday deal they were 50% off, I bought two more just to have them for replacement.

I honestly do not believe they will work either for ages, especially battery aspect, but I have in stock few so is not a problem. It had only 12 months warranty, but I am pleased. With almost as high Sennheiser wired earphones €99 normal price, they are not going low in volume during usage time.

All wired earphones are, the sound can go low on first month. Not broken sound, or record, but much lower than new from package. So you may need to increase volume in time. With these huge no.

And this is why I am so happy with them two in stock (inside my house).

Right now one piece in use and two pieces waiting to be used. Like I said money is used wisely. You buy these things, because inflation and best deals. Saving money this way.

At €49 black friday deal this is steal! Deezer Premium is real Premium sound with these.

My mother bought new smartphone Galaxy A51 5G from great offer at DNA store.

They also recommended Deezer Free for music, and she was interested. Earphones she bought from me, my Huawei Freebuds i3 at €60 price point. I used them for 3 months and they are amazing.

She did not want to pay €99 for casual music listening or movie/program watching from TV apps. I also on the other hand want something more from the sound as I will get discounted Hifi later.

As soon as my Premium annual plan ends.

I am looking to buy at the offer €149 earphones from Sony (€199 price point).

Sony WF-1000XM3

They have better sound profile AAC or SBC and are also more Hifi in the sound.

In reviews they perform well at bass.

Also same model as my Sony well working big headphones Bluetooth WH-1000XM3.

I will perhaps review them as well.

Seller did not recommend item Sony WF-1000XM3.

This item he recommended as he asked do I go gyms, listen music when it rains or run.

I said to do all of them. Also I mountain bike sometimes for long distances.

He said do not buy and save money. For €129 offer he suggested Sony WF-SP800N. It is Made in Malaysia (Not in PRC/China) as well and has all main features €149 offer item has. And more. This cheaper item is nowhere to be cheap: it has also waterproof option. I can use it gym and rain too.

The item Lewis recommends on video, does not mention it is not waterproof.

So I ended up saving money and getting waterproof item designed sports and rain in mind.

So far sound seems to be much clearer and more professional compared to Huawei Freebuds i3.

I will tell more when I will have more hours, so they will “run in”.

Also case seems to be less in size which is helpful when on the go.

They seem to use AAC profile with Deezer Premiere and I think honestly LDAC is not here for one reason. It could it battery faster. What I recommend instead is using WH-1000XM3 when needed if you want LDAC sound to enjoy on your phone. This said if you use Deezer Hifi, the sound will not be used widely -- this item is perfect for Premium service for best sound MP3. Not really Hifi.

Like I said for not Hifi earphones the sound is pretty Premium however.

Sony claims them to run 9 hours noise cancelation on or 13 hours noise cancelation off.

Battery case can be used for another full chargering. As well in 10 minutes you can get hour of music to listen. So in a hurry I believe to use fast chargering option pretty often if not all time.

Both interesting options, depending on what you need when listening to music! @hpguru

Thanks for sharing! :relaxed:

Almost month in use. I’d say battery life as claimed, 18 hours with full load on case and earphones. It feels like I am still downloading it more often, perhaps because I use them more often? The case feels a bit cheap… compared to Freebuds case. It is keeping noises when touching etc. The sound is great on this item, the bass is shaking, literally like a subwoofer at a times. The sound is MUCH better than on Freebuds. The earbuds feels decent, and they are a bit tiring after 5 hours of use.

The earbuds are not feeling cheap, but the sound is best with correct-sized accessories. For €129 I am pleased and Deezer 320K gets a ton of improvement sound in mind. Since case is cheap, I’d say do not buy at normal €189 price. Battery is amazing, but it feels like average at this price. The other bad thing is CALLS. If you call from a bus or a car, people WILL complain a lot. In house call is average. DO NOT BUY for calls. BUY FOR MUSIC instead. Preferably 320K Premium on Deezer.

Free does not get that benefit, so you won’t use all potential of your new Sony WF-SP800N.

If I am satisfied how does hard dance like this sound on them, Sony made great product.

Please, as I said, do not buy for calls. Call experience on these is joke.

A very very decent review of headphones @hpguru thanks for sharing!

Out there they never talk about the call quality, isn't it?

Thanks Rafael.

Have you checked out Sony WF-1000XM3? It’s the in-ear version of your WH- model.

They quite bulky for earphones, and I’m told the sound is not quite level with the WH- series. Also, I haven’t tried them out, and don’t know if they’re waterproof. They seem to have a good following though. There’s an XM4 version due to be released later this year.

Yes, I didn’t buy them. Not waterproof.

I needed waterproof version, so I ended up emptying 189 model for 129.

Sony WF-SP800N is the model.

Again I’d say do not over pay, the WF-M3 model is not waterproof, so it is overpriced.

The Deezer sounds amazing 320K on this Sony WF-SP800N.

You’ll never listen Deezer on anything else.

Thanks Rafael.

Many thanks, @hpguru. They sound excellent, and I’ll look into them when my 1More Triple Drivers need replacing. I also use Beats Solo 3 (whose sound I don’t much like) and WH-1000xm3 (great sound but sweaty like you say) :grinning:
