Favourites tracks duplicates on Deezer iOS app

My Favourite songs have been removed from my favorite track playlist, i don’t remember exactly how many songs I had on favourited but ever since the latest update all of my favorite songs from this year have been removed. Every time I refresh the number of favorite tracks i have changes. Some of mg favourite songs are appearing as multiple duplicates. This new update is very buggy and I’d be gutted if i’ve permantly lost most of the music that I’ve favourited this year

Hey @ardiantosnugroho

Thank you for your patience. Apologies for the experience.

We couldn't fit in with our latest 8.28 and 8.29 updates. Our devs confirmed it should be ready for 8.30, right at the beginning of next year - please bear with us :pray_tone2:

Hi all,

Suddenly, my favorite tracks numbers increase by themselves on ios app (ios 13.7). My favorite tracks on  browser are +/- 900, however on my ios app are +/- 4000. Further, the order of the favorites tracks are changed by themselves.

I have updated the most update version of deezer app. Please fix this issue. Thankyou :)

Regards,

Ardi

A lot of my favourited songs Have duplicated which makes sense on  why i have 9000 favourite songs. If I remember correctly i’ve had around 4500+ favourite songs before this update

How you can have this much??

Deezer claims to have 2 000 song limit in each playlist and favourites too.

This could be one reason why they are vanishing out.

Hi @ardiantosnugroho @oscarp@phashcomm.co.za we are investigating this issue and I will come back to you as soon as I hear back from our developers.
In the meantime can you please try the following:
- Open the Deezer app to clear the cache, click on the heart symbol (bottom of the page) > gear wheel HHayU5E.png > App > Clear All
- On the same page also click on “empty Smart Cache” and slide the blue button towards the middle of the line. (You need to have at least 1 GB of free space available on your device)

Please keep in mind this will remove any downloaded songs on this device, but you can easily download them again afterwards, from your music library

Test if you can use Deezer normally again. If not, please try these steps:

  • Delete the Deezer App
  • Restart your phone
  • Install Deezer again

Thanks:relaxed:

I had this first happen couple weeks ago,  as somehow it showed me around 11000 tracks, I deleted the app and reinstalled it (booted phone aswell) which corrected the number. I thought it got fixed.

Just today as for fun, I tested around this thing and it’s still happening. iOS  app 8.28.0 (8.28.0.6)

On the first pic you can see the correct number of favorite tracks (1383) on the account pages, then on the further pics you can see the increase (3967, 4463, 5455, 6500).

And yes, I forgot to add any pics of the repeated same songs. Here are 2 more pics of the recent number of favorite tracks 18267 (instead of the correct 1383) and also example how it has the very same Lana Del Rey song many times:

So far, for what I’ve tested today it’s been totally normal and the favorite tracks aren’t (yet) multiplied.

Now actually the problem is back and tracks are again multiplied.
