Bug older version iOS Deezer app

I have an iPhone 6S that I did not plan to upgrade to see its performance drop.

today, when I tried to open Deezer, I received one of these nasty popups.

1st bug, click ok to upgrade (there is just one choice anyhow), then it loads a safari page, then iPhone asks me: “Open with app?” I click yes and I am back to square one. If I click no, nothing loads.

2nd bug, I go to the AppStore. Naturally Deezer is on the first screen as it needs updating. When I click update, it says “this version requires ios 14. Install an older version instead?” I chose download (yes), and it loops forever…

I searched for Deezer and it doesn’t find it…

frankly, if I find a software to copy my favourites and playlist I will leave. Honestly, I just want to listen to music. I don’t give a d.. about the new features. Instead, you should streamline the experience with your app and improve flow...

The app sucks and it’s really a pain to be caught up with my playlist and favourite for flow. Otherwise, after all these years I wouldn’t hesitate to go to Spotify. I wanted to support French software… i am really tired.

Hi @BernardC

Appreciate your honest feedback.

When it comes to its iOS app, Deezer follows Apple and supports only the current and previous iOS. We can only assure performance and reliability that way, in conformity with the developer. I believe other streaming services follow this too but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

What iOS and Deezer app versions have you got? The 1st problem you reported could be resolved if you clear cache + cookies from your iPhone browser if you have the right app and iOS version.

Have a nice weekend!
