Upload entire subdirectory of MP3's

For those of us who have hundreds or thousands of songs in our collections, organized in folders by artist and album, it's pretty much infeasible to upload the files one by one. I wish I could just select a whole folder and upload everything within it and its subdirectories.

Since this would be a huge operation, it would be totally reasonable to only support it in the desktop apps, and not in the web interface.
Also, other than basic sorting, uploaded MP3's don't appear to be organized in any way. I wish I could browse them by album (with cover art), by artist, etc., just like the music I didn't upload. It doesn't seem like I can even sort them by track number right now (there's a column titled "#", but it has a little calendar with the upload date in it instead of the track numbers...).
Hi there, thanks for this suggestion, it would make things easier for sure.

I have noted this one down, make more users vote for it to get more attention 😉
Oh, please yes! Brundolf has hit it on the head. Please make MP3's first class citizens in Deezer. They should appear in the library just as the service tracks are. This is the way Google Music and Apple does it and it's brilliant.
Dear Team!

Good day 2 ya!

Please add Directories tree structure (so called "folders" by microsoft) to My MP3s. Option to create folders in My MP3s is really needed! Else, it's really looks like unmanageable junk if you upload more then one album!

☑️

Thanks!

Hi there @zevekar

Please vote for this feature here 😉
I suppose it's great if you will collect most suggestions & ideas, and share, send to all Deezer user for voting, so to chose what is much more critical for customers, what idea to move 1st to dev team for next sprint!
@zevekar

That's exactly the purpose!
I have playlists with hundreds of songs on my computer. I want to replicate those playlists within Deezer and none of my songs use mp3 format. Creating a playlist one song at a time is very time-consuming, it sux. The preferred way would be to upload my own playlist file (.m3u file) then let Deezer search the artist / song database and automatically add those songs (that match) to a chosen playlist, or create a new one. Can this be done?

Hi there! We have already passed this feedback on to our devs, hopefully they will be able to implement it soon! 😉

As Apple Music does , yeah 😃. Compare your songs with Deezer ones, if they aren't, it'll upload them

spotify does it . you add you local folder. so whats the issue here? why cant you add a folder instead of individual tracks? come on deezer

I found a solution.

  • Make a playlist with the name of the album (add cover art).
  • Go to the MP3’s and heart the tracks as favorites.
  • Go to favorites and click the dropdown menu for each track and add to the playlist you just created.
  • I you want, at this time you can remove those tracks from you favorites (if you want to)

An improvement on my about solution to recreate albums of you MP3 uploads. The tracks that you want to add to playlist (album) can be added at one time by checking the check box of each track. Then go to the dropdown menu above the checkbox column and choosing Add To Playlist and choose the appropriate playlist (album)

A note: This was all done on the browser version of Deezer

5 years and this is still needed…
