You don't have to use Flash version . You can use HTML5 version by nevigating to the gear icon and enableing HTML5 option

I can't see any option to enable HTML5...?
Same here, and I don't have any option to enable HTML5. Does anyone know why is this happening? It used to work perfectly a few days ago.
Still no solution? Keep asking for flash. Other sites with flash are working fine, deezer keep insinsts on installing flash *facepalm*. Also no HTML5 option anywhere.

Opera 51.0.2830.55
Suse Leap 42.2 - KDE
Hello.
Where the html5 player disappeared?
On the opera requires the installation of a flash player, after installing it, still the music does not play.

Huh. The option to enable HTML5 just appeared. Excellent!

@raven @Dreemurr we do not support Opera, so there is no HTML5 option and we cannot provide support for it.

You can find the option in Chrome, Safari and Firefox through the gear next to "My Music". In Firefox you need to go to the gear then into "Deezer labs" and you will find the option in there 😉

Hi there, I don't fully understand the question. So you can only use opera with Flash? If so, what do you mean by "Where the html5 player disappeared?" ?
Any plans on adding support for Opera? I believe it's Chromium anyway based anyway. I don't want to switch to another service, but my desire to stay on Opera (and without flash) is stronger.

We have no dates for Opera at the moment, but we have already passed this feedback to our devs and they are aware about it 🙂

Something changed in the Deezer web player recently, I also get an error message in Opera now about having to install Adobe Flash (which is already installed), and reinstalling it changes nothing. I'm on Windows 10, by the way.

There once was a HTML5 option on the Deezer Labs tab of the settings which I had activated, but it is gone now. Opera fully supports HTML5, so there is no reason to kick it from the list of supported browsers because of that, see also this related thread on Reddit:

Well this is broken in Vivaldi once again (which is based on CHROME). Look, HTML5 is a widely-used standard and you have no excuse not to support it in pretty much any browser.

Not much point in continuing to pay for my subscription if this doesn't get fixed!

Me too! It's a shame, Deezer!
Same here, was working fine yesterday on Vivaldi. Then out of the blue it keeps asking for me to install Flash. Even after installing it still keeps asking for this. Vivaldi is just Chrome with a skin... Just allow HTML5 and stop checking for specific browsers, it's 2018, STOP IT!

I even switched to the desktop application, even though it's in beta it's even worse. Why do I want a toast message saying me what song is playing? Either use the windows toast or give use a option to disable it.

Mine is working again (Opera 52.0.2871.64, Windows 10 64-bit). I still don't see an option for HTML5 in the settings, so I guess it is using the installed Adobe Flash plugin now. By the way, not supporting any browser is probably a bad idea, because e.g. I would rather change streaming providers than my browser. 😉

Hmm, reloaded the web player tab, and the error is back...

Agreeded, but not much I can do for now as we only officially support chrome, firexfox, safari and ie 😕

I suggest you guys create topics on the ideas forum with the specific browsers you'd like to see supported so we can push that do the developers and show that there is a demand for it 🙂

OK, but the error message should mention that Deezer no longer supports Opera, not some misleading information about a missing Adobe Flash plugin. And this change should be mentioned somewhere, e.g. on this forum, so Opera users don't have to guess what is going on, as the browser worked perfectly fine until a few days ago. So I'm still not sure if this is just a bug caused by a recent site update that might get fixed, or really an official policy change.

By the way, I just checked again, and the video ad at the beginning either using Flash or HTML5 worked fine , but then the "Install Flash" message came up afterwards. 🤓

OK, using the add-on mentioned in the Reddit thread seems to work:

https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/user-agent-switcher-5/

I chose Google Chrome and Windows as ID, and you have to refresh the browser tab with Deezer's web player once before starting playback.

It is a very bad answer from the company who gets my money every month.
Opera based on chromium and works same as him if web service do not spoil process a specially for a "not supported browser".
In the internet presents many fine music services if you understand what I mean.

I use Opera in so many years and not intended to leave it.

I'm sorry about that, but if Opera does not support Deezer there is no much we can do about it right now. We have passed this feedback a couple of times to our developers, but at the moment we still recommend other browsers such as Chrome.
i have laready tried to change to html5 on settings-> deezer labs but theres not a option to switch to hmtl im using the last update of opera, 64 bits PLEASE HELP ME im seriously thinking to switch to spotify...

stupid answer since there is no real compatibility issue with opera since changing the "user agent" is enough to get deezer working !!

Therefore it is not a problem of opera not supporting deezer but a problem of deezer blocking opera user agent string ! should be easily fixed 😃

I'm sorry but the Deezer not support the Opera not the opposite.
The Deezer site is a first case when the site not work on my browser.
And as I see it not inclined to changes.
Well...
I and my Opera loved the Deezer for a long time but it is time to say goodbye.

Hi there, unfortunately we do not support Opera, there is no option for HTML5.

Please use one of the supported browsers like Chrome, Safari and Firefox.

Rafael/Ana: You say you've mentioned this to the developers. Can we please get some kind of comment about this issue from them soon? I am very close to just switching to Spotify, as I'm sure are many others. I'd rather not have to rebuild my playlists etc but if the alternative is having a web player that only works on the whims of some developer, I guess I have no choice.

Reportedly it works if we just switch user agents. That proves that the issue is at your end; you're simply blocking browsers you don't want to officially support. Considering HTML5 is supported everywhere, there is absolutely no excuse for it in this day and age.

I don't want to leave Deezer but you're forcing my hand.

Maybe the Deezer management and/or developers should also consider the fact that Opera users are more common in countries where Deezer is the only available streaming site:

http://gs.statcounter.com/browser-market-share/all/africa/#monthly-201703-201803
http://gs.statcounter.com/browser-market-share/all/asia/#monthly-201703-201803

As far as I remember, being available in as many countries as possible has always been one of Deezer's main business objectives.
