Listen later - like/love/save for later

Maybe you guys could create an easy button/session for music we would like to listen to in the future (maybe pressing and holding over the desired album/artist). The app gives us too many great suggestions of music but sometimes we're just listening to another stuff at the moment. Sometimes we search for an artist and the app shows us "similar artist" that would be nice to "try" and it would be great if we could "save it for later on".

Often I get a notification for an album that I do want to listen to later, but I can't save that in any way. I'd like to have a 'listen later' button that adds it to a list I can listen to when I have time. It'd be good if I can add any song, album, artist, playlist to that list..

Is it possible to make a button for adding an album to a playlist, like "Albums to listen"?

I know that there is a way arround of doing so by entering to the album page and tick to sellect all tracks and then add them to a playlist. But it would be musch easier if there was a button next to the one with the heart (fav) that would allow to add the album to a playlist.

Or if it's more convenient a button to add an album to a listen-latter list.

Hi Spyros. It is so cool you have contributed to the Forum. I certainly like your idea. However, I do think, like you said, it is still easy to go to the album page and select the tracks and add them to a playlist. This is the best way I reckon. And sometimes too, if there are a lot of buttons, it makes the player a bit "busy." I do like the player as it is.

With regards to your other idea of a "Watch Later" thing ,, that sounds cool. I have many playlists on YouTube, including some of my Deezer ones. And YouTube has a "watch later" button. I use that a lot. So, a "Watch Later" on Deezer sounds pretty cool. On Deezer, if I hear a song that I like, I add it to my Favourites playlist, and then selecting "recently added," I see it there later, and do something with it.

Just wanted to suggest this feature, I must say that this will be a major upgrade.

Each time someone suggest me some song or band album, I mark it as favorite, but this automatically download the song/album (according to my settings).

And I really don't want to add the songs to my favorites before I heard them.
Any chances this feature would be introduced in the near future? Would be really awesome to have such option - to save songs for listening later.
Without the feature to add an entire album to a playlist, I see the utility of this service as very limited, and it will keep people from bothering to use Deezer!

Song at a time adding is too laborious. I can tell you I will not use this service while it's like that. Cheers,
I would love this! I was about to give that same idea. Please, Deezer, make this happen!
Please add listen later, it's just a simple table in database and few more basic pages in app.
How about a button to add an album to a list of albums your would like to listen to but don't wanna add to your favourites.

I’d really really like to be reminded of selected songs/albums/playlists. Sometimes i discover artists just reading stuff but i can’t listen them in that specific moment.

I know i can create my playlist, but in this way many albums are queued together and if i add just 20 album the playlist become massive 😞 Also, i have the sensation that Flow algorithm prefer artists in the user playlist.

 

Simple scheme

MENU ...

  • Listen to this another time
    • Open Modal Window (Similar to the share one)
      • Buttons
        • Listen tonight
        • Listen tomorrow
        • Listen at specifc hour
          • Form hh:mm

Also, with a friendly mobile/toast notification like “Do you remember this?” at specific hours i’d be very engaged to open Deezer instead of staring the screen in total silence ;)

Hi. I’m often shuffling in my favorites and think either god I love this song or god I hate this song. It’s in my faves so obv I like the song but I’d like to be able to hit like again on songs I love and have them cycle through my shuffle more frequently. Maybe have five levels of like.

I like this idea however I agree with another comment from the original discussion saying that it will require yet another button, at the risk of cluttering the GUI. I like Deezer because it has a clean interface, not too many buttons. If this feature is implemented at the expense of GUI real estate, I would rather not have this feature at all. I also do not like the idea of a “long press button” because it won’t be obvious, and will require an “onboarding step” to show hidden features = bad design.

My current workaround is quite simple: I have a dedicated “listen later” playlist into which I add songs I want to listen to later. Maybe the best way to implement this feature is not to add a new dedicated button, but simply to focus on playlists functionalities.

  1. My current situation with “listen later”: a large to-do list and a huge number of tabs. 😅
  2. Idea with private playlist is pretty simple, but I personally would like to able add albums or maybe even artists to “listen later”.

Yeah, very useful when we don’t have time or connection. Maybe it could be possible to set a reminder on that date &/or hour.
