Desktop App - [Mac OS / OSX} Magic Bar Support

I know the desktop app is still in Beta. It's pretty good already, but would be great if you add support for the magic bar to start, stop and skip tracks like iTunes and Spotify.

Even the not official Google Play Music app supports it! So I think it's an easy job to do.

A broader idea is to add at least a tray icon to control the flow so I don't have to always jump to the interface to skip tracks.

Hi there @Rgallego

Thank you for chasing this up with us. I'll add your comments to the developers working on this. Like I said above, it's a matter of priorities and we've been working on fixing some things in the desktop app as well. Please bear with us :pray_tone2:

Sorry, but this is getting ridiculous. You advertise the feature and it hasnt worked for months.

Sorry, but I moved to Tidal until this gets fixed.

Hi again @Rgallego

We advertise hotkeys support, which is indeed available - Magic Bar support is different, it's the MacBook Pro's touchbar - this requires additional development from us in order to work. I hope you understand and have also subscribed to the topic, so as soon as we get this sorted, you can give us another go :nerd:

Hi Rudi,

Thanks for keeping up on this topic. I wouldn´t be complaining if I was using the free version of Deezer. I have a family subscription for over 3 years and we all have macs at home. The way I see it is that your product is now defective and I should have some compensation for this.

Please escalate this to your developers. It´s unacceptable that Mac users cannot use their harrdware in full with your product,

All other competitors allow this.

Thanks in advance. BTW, 4.23 is out and still same old bug… 😞 not cool

Sure thing @Rgallego I'll definitely pass it on to our desktop app devs, I know they wanted to start developing this some time ago so all contributions here are very welcome :thumbsup_tone2:

Hello guys, so I can confirm this very basic feature is still not working on Mac! I got to enable the media keys to control Deezer, but I need to expand it each time, there is no MPNowPlayingInfoCenter support, you really need to get it done, this is for almost 2 years now and all of us are premium users so we are supporting you for all of these years, at least give us some of the requested features.

The easier would be a fully integrated app which we can control in the menu bar with the “play” button (it’s a shame, all your competitors did it long ago, just do it please it will for sure attract a lot of new consumers and please all the deezer macOS ones)

Hi everyone,

Our devs are confident that this will be supported as part of our major updates planned for the desktop app throughout this year. Please stay tuned for more news in the near future! :relaxed:

Updated idea status In discussionReplied by Deezer

I just started with Derer and this is the first thing I noticed, because I was using the feature in the Spotify App all the time.
Deezer completely ignores the TouchBar.
With a look at the age of this article this was a false promise so far.

Well, I mean, I have a three month test period, and will surely compare features with the Primus Spotify. At the moment it’s Spotify 1, Deezer 0.

This beyond bad...
