BRING BACK THE "HEAR THIS" SECTION!

Userlevel 5
Why on earth did this service remove the "here this" section/tab on the web player. That was the only sensible section where i can comfortably go at check out new playlist and recommended albums. You people are being awful at your work. Your recommendations are horrible (my opinion) and the worst part of it all, you FORCE people to listen to local tracks on the "discovered weekly", "flow" and "Inspired by" tracklist which is easily fixable but you don't want to.

This is atrocious to be honest with you. I hope this gets to the bloody developers. I am very *3 disappointed and angry and i am quite sure there are some people who feel the same way as i do.
That's an idea you the developers - bring back the "hear this" section!

That's true! I mean, deezer do know my listening profile as it seem to be reasonably spot on when I'm playing flow, but really my listening peofile has NOTHING to do with local pop songs, yet that's what I get on my homepage, don't know why, and I also miss the hear this section... Found some great jewels feom there and now its just harder to find new great songs and artists.

Hi @Rudi , just had a quick look through all the comments on the feed I began nearly three weeks (yup 3 weeks...that's nearly a month's PREMIUM family subscription for a product which, as far as I'm concerned, is 80% DUD without 'Hear this') ago re disappearance of 'Hear This' and it seems I'm clearly not alone in being frustrated, angry and ready to look eslewhere. Interestingly, it seems to me, the types of people that comment on these forums are genuine music lovers, the ones who take music a little further than just your average commercial line up that Deezer seem so intent on pushing out there. Maybe Deezer don't want these types of customers?

Deezer and its team at Dev. quite clearly don't give a F•••. I've had the sugary little msg with apology accompanied by a line of inane emojis to appease me. BUT...still no real action, still no replacement, still no loud and clear apology to all. Quite unbelievable in a day and age where the competition must be quite stiff and customer service is normally a handy tool used to charm, albeit virtually.

During these 3 weeks, just to make sure I wasn't missing something on Deezer that might make up for the loss of 'Hear This', I checked every other feature from Flow to Explore...NADA, nothing, zilch, SWEET F••• ALL. As many have already commented, these are NOT equivalents but merely shallow little commercial tools...which...could be justified for customers who are not paying any subscription.

The only reason I'm not racing out the Deezer door YET is because, I've invested a huge amount of time creating fantastic eclectic playlists (thanks to hear this) over the years and can still enjoy what I've already curated. But even after only three weeks, I'm getting weary with the same collections and don't have time to search all day, checking out similar artists feature etc.

SO, all those of you who share the same passion for discovering (genuinely) new music, keep tuned, as I'm researching various platforms that do respect this 'discover' approach, including the '....clouds' and will share my findings soon.
If anyone out there wants to start sharing alternative sites to Deezer then please shout now!

In the meantime, DEEZER get your act together and start showing some respect for your paying customers who are not currently enjoying the product you encouraged them to sign up for.
Please, bring back this feature, I really miss it!

I've been quite appalled by the way that deezer keeps treating its customers. I've been a subscriber since 2012 and many of us have been requesting gapless playback since then, with no resolution even though ALL of the other streaming services offer it. But what always set deezer apart from the competition was the hear this feature, with which I discovered a lot of great new music. By the way, if you are ready to move on, you can always export your playlists to plain text or other streaming services using https://soundiiz.com. It works pretty well.
Its getting close to moving on for me. 'Hear this' was a great feature and to pull it without notification or provision of a replacement feature that delivered the same functionality, is for me a glaring example of a Company that doesn't much care for its user base. I too will give this until the end of June, as has been suggested, but if nothing similar materialises, that's it. I will cancel my subscription and go elsewhere.

Deezer: Any news on the replacement feature?

Other users: Any other music services that have a similar feature?

dear Deezer, will Hear This feature find a new place in the new rebranding? any update?
thanks

You have my vote here.

The "Hear This" feature is basically how I discovered all new music on Deezer. I also invested a lot of time in creating a personal experience on Deezer and generally I really like it. But without this section, my experience suffers a great deal.

If "Hear This" was outdated, then introduce a new one that does the same (or is even better). So, we want album recommendations based on what our own personal taste/history.

I looked into alternatives and Apple Music app's "Recommendation" section has a specific part for albums. It's very simple, like "here are the albums you will like based on your taste". Done. And it works very well. I had one playlist imported and it already gave some very good suggestions.

So, we all know you have this data, you just need to present it to us.
You got my vote, Deezer, please get this feature back! It was actually the reason why I choose for you guys.

Where is "Here This" section. Please, bring back!

Come on Deezer, some heads up on the replacement please. If you didn't have a plan and a timeline, you should not have removed the feature.
Totally agree, I liked it when the editors created a playlist and I could listen to them, according to their own recommendation. I know Flow does the same, but with them I was sure that I would not hear a hodgepodge of music

In the past we used to have “hear this” in our phone app and Dezeer had said that they weee working on changes for it to come back, but after the last update it also desappeared from the pc app and on the web.

please let me know if this is ever comming back since it was the best feature deezer had and kind of the reason I have continued having the premium account.

Hey @Hector Perlaza

Thank you for your feedback. Please vote for it here 😉

Thanks, definitely have my vote.

hear this is one of the best features of the app, so sad that deezer takes it away without and option for the issuer, I know a lot of people who already switched because of this.

Hear this was one of the features I used most. Really sad that it's gone. Rarely use flow as the algorithm seems to always add some local crappy music no matter how often I dislike it, there'll always be something in there and I can't go back to a previous song.

Miss the Hear this section so bad. PLS BRING BACK!! 💔

Before removing such an important feature, Deezer should have made at first some AB-testing or any other customer research.
I guess they removed recommendations only due to the business reasons, in order to push local crappy music that pays them money.
Being a software engineer myself I know that noone deletes a feature that is used by customers a lot, event if it's an old feature based on the old technology. If it's really old or buggy, it's being improved, refactored or reimplemented, but not removed - this is an absolutely preposterous thing to do.

So deezer gets money from us, premium customers, and they get money from sh*t artists that they are shoving into our ears. In the end we are double loosers and deezer is a double winner.

I'm sure a lot of customers are switching now to a different service and more customers will do so in the future.

That's an idea you the developers - bring back the "hear this" section!

What you said is abolutly my opinion too, i will cancel my subscription if they dont bring it back fast - its the was only valuable feature on deezer, this is mega ignorant to the costumers in my eys.

Aaaaand I'm out. After 8 years with Deezer the permanent removal of their best feature (alongside appalling discovery alternatives) I've cancelled and switched to Spotify as of today.

Deezer customer strategy and customer service: blablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablabla.

What they are really saying:
give us your money and shut the f*ck up, you bunch of whining customers

You can announce that there is a 'new' desktop app every time I open deezer online, but you 'forgot' to mention that you no longer support your best feature.
Instead, I have to mail, search support pages, etc...and am given false promises.

There are so many things that could be improved: searching on record labels, composers, info on performers for jazz and classical music,...
but you had to delete the one feature I truly enjoyed.

Keep up the good work!
