Show MP3s as albums/Play own uploaded MP3s in mobile

Currently, I can't access albums from MyMP3s in the Albums section of MyMusic. Please provide a way to allow me to add such Albums.
Hi @Hoo Boo

I find it's easier put my own mp3's I've uploaded to deezer into a playlist for each album (makes them easier to manage)
@Rob Igo: thanks for the hint. That's actually what I'm doing in the meantime.

However, Albums provide an alternative way to access what one is looking for. Semantically, one shouldn't use playlists (or albums would be useless duplication of the playlist feature) 😃

I'd like to see the albums displayed for instance on the artist page even though it's coming from MyMP3s.

It should also be possible for me to search globally (both in MyMP3s and in Deezer's library).
This is one of the most desirable features for me. It's hard to manage big (around 600 and growing) amount of uploaded tracks on one page.

Having my albums integrated with the artist page would be really great.

Indeed! And not to mention that said page reacts *tremendously* slowly.
If they decide to do this, I hope they'll also add some icon so you know which of these albums/tracks are from your uploaded mp3s. 🙂
Currently you can only access your MP3s on one clunky page where it shows all your tracks. It's hard to manage and even harder to listen to

Deezer can already read the tags (you can sort MP3s according to "album") so why not go a step further and have it create the albums in the album sections if the taggs match?
@Renivius someone already suggested that so I moved your idea here, don't forget for it to be implemented 🙂
At the moment (At least on Windows, WebApp and Android), there is no way to view or play an uploaded album on its own like you can with a streamed album. This would be very helpful for organising the 2000 possible uploads.
Hi there @Reuben Botha

I've moved your comment here for similarity. Thank you for your suggestion and feedback! 😉
Yeah to see your tagged mp3s as albums on artists page would be ultimate awesome!
I moved to Deezer from Google Play, and Google does this. One of the few things that i like better about Google Play. It doesnt seem like it should be too unreasonable to allow your personal MP3's to be added as albums to your music collections.
Thanks for the feedback @TwistedMetal we'll pass it on 👍🏼
Hello,

thanx for DEEZER :-)

It would be nice to have the possibility to display uploaded mp3's as albums. Just like the regular DEEZER albums are. Now I can see only a long list of MP3's. Thank you 🙂

thanks for the votes and comments. We've passed this on to our devs and they decided not to work on it at the moment. We'll keep this topic updated as soon as we have any more news about it!

Thanks, Stepan! Your suggestion was sent to the right team! :)

An incredible feature could be something like Apple’s one. When checking local library, compare it with cloud to upload songs that Deezer doesn’t have. :grinning:

@Stepan Trnka - the uploadable mp3 option is definitely a significant reason for trailing Deezer before other optionS for me but when I attempted to earlier today I discovered I would have to do it album for album which I will not be doing due to the shortcomings of a paid service.

I also tried to listen to a favourite mainstream album of mine today and a couple of the songs were grey and wouldn't play.

First impressions of moving to a streaming service from a downloaded torrent catalogue is not looking as good as I'd hoped unfortunately.

Sorry to hear that @Kiwi Dave

But we appreciate you sharing the experience here, so that we can pass your feedback to the right people at Deezer :thumbsup_tone2:

@Rafael. Is it possible to get an update on this? This is the feature that will decide if I continue after my free trial ends.  Thanks.

Hello @spicemouse, unfortunately it’s not a priority for our teams at the moment, we’re working on many different projects for the next months.

Have a nice day

so...I like this mp3 uploading feature...I believe allows me to backup some tracks that..I
fear might get greyed out in the future...so I am uploading these on mp3…but…

It doesnt allow me to play my uploaded mp3s in my phone! and that is a shame :(

Hi there @Sergi.Sanz

I've moved your comment here so that you can vote for an existing idea

I want to n-th this one as well.  I suspect now that Google has finally announced the death date for Google Play Music, Deezer (and the rest) will likely be seeing a number of us looking to move.  This is a fairly big thing for me (and I suspect other GPM users).  While Deezer has much of the music that I want, there are some albums that don’t exist in the licensed library (The Mighty Mighty Bosstones back catalog for example) and I was hoping to use the My MP3s as a way to bridge this gap.  Alas, a single play list is not the answer to this need.

Welcome to Deezer.

I am myself canceled from Google Play Music All Access to Deezer Premium.

Google made bad, bad decision retiring GPM. Welcome.

I bring my money elsewhere for caring companies like Deezer. YTM is nightmare, even tried for days to use, it is nightmare. Sleepless nights. Missing music hard dance. Basics not working.

Worst nightmare from Google to music fans. Pay same money for less.

I was so disappointed with this news, I canceled same day they transferred my lists over.

Deezer has to improve too, maybe they can work MP3 section.

People are searching for alternative right now. They could fish GPM costumers.

Just wanted to chime in as another Google Play Music refugee. Taking advantage of the metadata in uploaded tracks to allow is to view them as Alumbs and by Artist would be absolutely a killer feature. It was the single best thing about Google Play Music and the ability to stream uploaded tracks that aren't part of any streaming service is a deciding factor for many listeners.
