Search music by Record Label // Record Label name below album or track

Name of label is available after the track list of an album/ep etc.

Linking the label name to a list of album/records/artists of the same label would be very useful.
Hi there,

I suppose there would be no bad in adding the record label name as a part of album info into mobile app (I personally use the one for iOS). This kind of info is often really important for serious music fans like I am.

Thanks and Happy New Year!
@frefre Good idea. I voted.
@frefre There is an hidden feature called advanced search. You can do a search as https://www.deezer.com/search/label%3A%22Warner%20Jazz%22

The syntax of the query is label:"label_name".

I am aware that is not the perfect feature that you suggested, but perhaps it could help you 🙂
@Aurelien

Thanks! Merci!

I can work it out this way for the time being. Amazing!

I am sure since it is there that it will appear soon in the user interfaces 🙂
Hi all,

I have been using Deezer almost daily for a couple of years now and have often wished for the ability to view other releases from a certain label. This is especially useful for genres like techno (surely others too) since the labels are usually quite small and stand for a certain style within a genre. This would be great for finding new music and something that Spotify/Apple Music don‘t offer (iirc).

I would love to see this implemented some time soon.
I listen to a lot of house, techno, and other electronic music where the record label a track is on means almost as much as the artist who made it. I would love to be able to search by label in addition artists and albums.
Hi @Tj.Ward, you can search by label. Try this on the browser label:"label name".

For example: https://www.deezer.com/search/label:"netrilis"

Saddly, this doesn't seem to work for any of the labels I've tried. I know you have releases from the label Church, for example, but when I search for label:"church" i just get a bunch of religious music. When I search for releases on the seminal drum and bass label No U Turn (for which you have many tracks) nothing comes up.

Maybe this is a problem with data as opposed to search functionality.

nice, thanks! It would be great to have this option through the UI though
Hi @Oleg123456 Thanks a lot for your idea and sorry for the late reaction. I've passed this on to the music team and hope that we'll be able to add the labels in the future 🙂
@mhomer182 @frefre @Aurelien @juwi @Tj.Ward @Netrilis

Hi everyone, just browsing through our idea forum and found your topics. I merged them all together into this one as all of them require the same technical implementation.

If you haven't yet, please don't forget to vote for this one ;)

I've changed the status of the idea now and we'll pass it on to the team. Hopefully this can be implemented in the future! 🤞🏼
Deezer already provides information on the label that has distributed a release (for example, it says '2018 | The Rebellion' on the bottom of an album, that means it has been released on the label 'The Rebellion')

It'd be great if you could click the label name and get an overview of all the releases on that label on Deezer, similar to Beatport.

Hey there, I moved your idea to this existing one 😉
Is there any chance we could get label overviews, listing all releases by one record company?

Bandcamp has something similar, and since the label is listed at the bottom of every album at Deezer anyway, it would be excellent to just click this and see all releases by the company. It would be really handy to explore new music and one more way to keep users on Deezer as well, since one would not have to go to another website to research.

I would be thrilled if this could be implented!
Hi Deezer, would be fine to have a search Option for record label. E.g. to show all Artists, Albums or Songs of a record label. The Windows browser app is already showing the record label beneath the tracks of a an Album. So it seems the record label is already linked to the Album.

Hope to find some voters out there. Thanks!
Hi there, thanks so much for your suggestion. We have duly noted this and will pass it on. It might be worth getting more users to vote for it 😉
If artists can have their pages, why don't record labels too?

I mean click record label, then listen to songs released by that label. Just like Beatport has pages for labels and there you can listen to the releases, view artists etc. You can search for labels too.

Hi there, sorry for my late reply. Great idea!

If more users ask for it, we’ll surely have a look into it 😉

Mirroring Beatport's label search and follow feature would be HUGE! This would truly corner the market, in particular for electronic music where labels distinguish sounds rather than genres/subgenres. I'd be will to pay extra for this feature alone. Pair that with this idea https://en.deezercommunity.com/ideas/344/index1.html#post47787 and you have the best music discovery app on the internet - better than soundcloud, spotify, beatport, etc.
when i search for labels in Deezer, with (label:"Labelname") i only get 50 Albums or less as an result.

is ist possible to open this limit.
The absence of this only feature stops me from buying premium and using your app. Currently I am using traxsource. I will subscribe to this thread and wait for this feature.
We already know how to search for music by label on deezer

We can search for label:"Trap Nation" releases in search bar or by this URL

but search results are listed randomly regardless of their release date. its complicated when there are a lot of new releases & and i could not identify new releases due to search results in bulk. I want to sort the search result by their release date (e.g: new to old).

If anyone knows any method how to do this , please share or Vote for this feature.
Hi there, the label search thing isn't an official feature yet, but we are happy to pass your feedback on to our developers and hope they will be able to improve this soon!
I'm looking for some great new music.

It would be great to be able to search for a record label of one of my my favorite bands and explore their music. It might even encourage labels to publish just a little more because they know they have fans as a label, not only the contracted artists.

On the flipside there are the classic labels (Sun records, Rough Trade, Motown, Trojan, Blue Note, Def Jam, Sub Pop, peaceville, etc. ). Now who wouldn't want nowdays kids (and old guys like myself) to easily explore music from the iconic albums they know to the more unknown diamonds that are there.

I really think it would be a unique feature to help people explore music they don't know, but probably be interested in. At least it would for me ;-)

Thanx!
