HiFi compatibility on all devices.

Deezer hifi is not of much value unless you specifically own an Sonos system or play on computer app. The developers need to get it on iPhone and android apps - would obviously expand the listening possibilities and give Tidal some competition - tidal is good service but the Deezer app is far better. Also. I have my Deezer account Set up on my bose sound touch systems. Would be perfect if it supported the hifi option on these

I have a deezer hifi subscription, but I’m not able to play hifi song in android app.

I select the high fidelity option in audio settings, but when I try to play a track, the track is loaded, but not played.

Can somebody help me?

Device: Samsung Galaxy J3

Android Version: 5.1

App Version: 6.1.14.99

Hey @Fabio10

Sorry that's happened. Could you try the following steps, exactly in this order, to see if it helps with your issue?

  • make sure you're connected to a wifi network
  • uninstall Deezer
  • clean your phone's cache
  • remove the SD card
  • turn off your phone
  • reinstall Deezer
  • open Deezer and download at least one album or playlist
  • reinsert the SD card

Let me know how it goes 👍🏼

Yes, it’s here!! Thank you!! :sunglasses:

Hey, guys, just an update

In the app version 6.1.14, it was necessary to close the app and open again to listen in hifi quality.

In the app version 6.1.15, this issue was fixed, so it’s not necessary to do this anymore, this quality works perfectly.

Thanks for reporting it to us, @Fabio10 fantastic!

Hello there. I have a sony xperia xz1 model phone this phone has hi res audio support. I want to buy deezer hifi package but I could not see such a phrase in the mobile application. I don't want my money wasted when I buy it. Can I use deezer hifi on my phone?

@vasili007, you can use it on phones now. I’d go to the website and do the purchase though. Going to the website and selecting the Deezer hifi plan will guarantee that you get the right plan.

If you mean high resolution specs (e.g. 96khz sample rate and 24bit bit depth) with “phrase”, it is not available with Deezer HiFi, as it streams in FLAC format at max. 1411kbps bitrate (usually about half of that) with CD specs, i.e. with 44.1khz sample rate and 16bit bit depth. This quality is now available in the mobile apps and web player besides the desktop app and specialised hardware devices.

Note that you have to enable HiFi audio quality under the “Custom” tab on mobile devices.

Hello guys!

So hello, I literally subscribed to the HIFI streaming service and I am so excited! But I am quite confused because I do not know exactly if it is my phone (Galaxy Note 10+) or in the app (or both) that must be compatible. I presume, as many of us here, do not want to pay for a quality we are not hearing. To be honest it sounds great, but I really just want to double check! Thank you all guys

xxx

Hi there @Francisco Borja Ponce

Yes, you're streaming at HiFi quality and your phone is compatible. The app needs to be the latest version too (6.1.18)

Neither Apple TV nor Bose Soundtouch support Hifi but HEOS seems to be on the way now, really appreciated!

Any music streaming company has to keep a lot of balls in the air to make it work for most customers. Deezer has done outstanding work maintaining a library that seems to be the same size as Spotify. But wireless connectivity to devices must always be a focus. I’m thrilled that I can enjoy CD quality through my Yamaha MusicCast devices at home for less dollars per month than Tidal. Deezer should expand to support ALAC for AirPlay devices. Now that might become moot when Apple supports lossless over ALAC. Tidal is bleeding customers. Deezer needs to grow. Giving customers more ways to stream FLAC audio to more devices should be a focus.
