Flow should not recommend songs which are not based on my Favourites

Flow suggestions should be based solely on Favourite tracks.

Im sure there are lots of people that let their family play songs they’d never listen to otherwise.

My case is weirder. I had my account weirdly “cross over” with someone else’s. The only way I could communicate is by playing songs (our Now Playing songs were sync’ed). So I played “LOGOUT” by Saba about 15 times. Now it’s appearing in my Flow.

Ive never added this song to anything. Just played it.

As luck would have it, I do like the song so will put it in a playlist, but this shouldn’t be the case.

Further to this, I think due to the account cross-over issue, I’m getting a lot of weird recommendations of cheesy keyboard covers of piano songs. I can’t explain it any other way.

Hi

I would really appreciate this feature. I really like trying out Deezer's recommended releases or other artists/albums I find from the Music tab.

Other times I might get a recommendation from a friend or a request from my wife or guests.

But in these scenarios it doesn't mean that I love that music and want it to influence my recommendations. If I do find something I like then I will add it to my favourites. So then it makes sense for flow to be based just on my favourites.

Thanks

Hello @Jim Barton, thank you for your input, it’s appreciated

Hello everyone! 🖐🏼

We are starting a big Flow rework, to improve the experience and satisfy your needs. 💥

We might not add exactly this feature, but we are trying to find a way to improve Flow in the best possible way.

This requires a lot of work and mostly, a lot of testing!

We have created this group  for users who want to help us, you feedback is crucial for us.

Reviving this thread. The changes to Flow in 2022/2023 were broadly good, but I have a problem with one of the ‘improvements’.

It was decided that Flow would make its recommendations based on music that you have ‘liked’ but also music that you have played. Previously, Flow was based on music that you ‘liked’ only.

Now, my Flow is flooded with music that I have played (e.g. at the request of my wife, or instrumental music that I listen to when I’m working) but not actually ‘liked’. I know I can change the ‘mood’ of my Flow, but this still makes its recommendations based on music I don’t actually want to listen to.

Is there any way this could be fixed? Or, at least, implement an option that the user can enable/disable. e.g. “Restrict Flow recommendations to Liked music only. Yes/No”

In other words, Flow should not be influenced by a song just because it was played.
