But at least on spotify i have this nice option in my weekly discovery!

As you can see there is no option to block the song or artist! Unfortunately! Well ... no worries .. i will stay with Spotify for now!

Great idea, shame it doesn't work. In fact nothing works. Dismiss a song in Flow, it just comes back. No option to dislike artists in Android still. The option is there in Windows but it doesn't cross platforms so you can dislike on Windows and your hates still play on Android.

I really wish I hadn't been so stupid and paid for a year up front so I could go somewhere else!

As no one has bothered to address my first reply to this topic I shall reiterate. This feature does NOT work. Three months after it was announced and after several Android updates the feature is still not present and the Windows version simply doesn't work. I can dislike an artist, hit Flow and after a few songs up they pop. Deezer, your programmers stink at their jobs. If I was this crap at my job I'd get fired!

Look at this pic. I've told Deezer not to recommend some dross called Fifth Harmony. Never heard of them, don't like them. I've got the three dot menu open so you can see they've been disliked and look what is playing at the bottom! It also has the blue dismiss button that I have complained about for months where I have already told Deezer I don't like the song. So, I don't like the artist, I've also disliked the song, so why am I being force fed it??!!

Hi there @simonali

We haven't had other reports like this but we're happy to investigate it. Just before we proceed, could you just make sure that you've cleared your app's cache?
On another note, you said you don't have this on mobile - what version do you have installed?

I meant that I don't have any option to block artists on Android. I'm on Android 9 and Deezer version 6.1.0.89 which is the latest update with the white icon. I clear all data on the app regularly and log back in. Artists I block in the Windows browser play both on the browser and on the phone. This should:

  1. Work in the first place.
  2. Cross the two platforms.
Neither of these happen.

Hi @simonali it looks like the feature is not rolled out to all users I am afraid. I will forward your feedback of course. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Still? After three months?! Why make a big song and dance about it then??? And what determines who gets the feature and who doesn't?

Anyway, enough of the Android farce, what about the Windows artist blocking feature that doesn't work?
Bye Bye, Bruno boring Mars! I loved it!
I was listening the flow and then it started to play an artist that I don't like at all, then I skipped the song. But 2 songs later the same singer started to play again. If we have a dislike button or a option to choose what kind of stuff we don't like to hear it would be a wonderful be cause I think you never listened "FERRUGEM" and "LUAN SANTANA", those guys in my humble opinion, they are A CHEAP AND STINKING CRAP!

Hi there @Maikie

Please have a look above, perhaps this topic can help 😉

My Discover weekly playlist is loaded with tracks by artists I've already blocked. You really are useless at this!

I just updated my Android app. The song I want to block was playing so I paused and waited for the update. Clicked on the 3 dots, removed from my favorites (how it got into my favorites I'll never know). Went back to the song, it was still playing, I unhearted, clicked the 3 dots again and it was still in my favorites. Is this your neighbors song and you promised him you would get him unlimited air time or something?

Hi there @Sorin

Thank you for replying and for the screenshots. Unfortunately it seems that the feature isn't available for you yet. You'll need to try accessing this via a PC/Mac. Let me know if it's possible.

Please explain why some users can access the feature and some cannot.

Not that it really makes any difference because it doesn't work either way.

Can confirm that i have never seen the feature on my app either. Do have the latest version of everything.

Besides. Lets be honest.
Do you really think we want to go and take 1 minute to do it like this when there's 50 or possibly a 100 we want to ban? And you think we'd want to have to go to the page of the thing we never want to see or hear again? Get it to work and get it as an option in current playing tracks. Make it a 2 click max

Hi there @simonali @Glenn Buutfeld

You're both right. I'm sorry the feature doesn't work to your expectations.
Initially this was only made available to a small number of Android users, for testing. But thanks to feedback like yours, our team is thinking about improving it. I can't give you more information at this point but our devs are aware of how you feel about the feature.

It STILL doesn't work. Some days I hear the blocked song as many as 3 times even though I have unhearted them dozens of times. Will this ever work?

Hey there @AVXlnce

Sorry about that. It will work as we're working on improving it. Please bear with us a bit longer and we'll come back here once there's an update.

This has been going on for over 5 months. How much longer do I need to bear with you? Pandora, Spotify and Tidal all have functioning unheart/thumbs down/don't like, why don't you?

I'm really sorry @AVXlnce. We've been working on different features at the same time. We'll be asking for an update.
