Don't like the new web player for the following reasons:

  • Tiny cover, hidden somwhere down on the right corner. Hey - that covers stand for the music I'm hearing, I'm loving and you're squeezing it down to about 20x20 pixel? What's the reason for this? I really would like to know the reason...?!? Accident? Designer-Crap?
  • Clicking on the 'queue' button / cover brings up another screen. This screen shows the queue list and hides all other information *and* especially the search field. There's *plenty* of unused and wasted space to view the queue list beside the other information. I don't like to switch screens between the queue list and the search field.

Hi @TBSol, thanks for the feedback! I will pass it on to the right team 🙂
I am "Trying the new look."

I miss an icon for "My Music" on the left menu bar.

While "Favorite tracks," ..., "Apps" having icons of their own, "My Music" not having an icon makes it not recognized as a menu item. It feels more like a section header.
In the new layout the "Now Playing" section is stretched across the bottom of the screen with the like/dislike buttons on the one end and the skip/pause on the other end.

Sometimes I do not wish to dislike a song, since I do like it, I just don't want to listen it right now, I just want to skip. If I truly dislike the next song I have to move the mouse across the entire screen to dislike and then back across to the other end again to skip.

In the old layout these buttons were a few pixels apart and it was quick and effortless to alternate between skip en dislike/like.

Ultimately I find myself just skipping and not disliking anymore just for easy of use. This skews my like/dislike metric, resulting in Flow suggesting songs I would never have gotten. I'm a Metal head born in the late 80s, but Flow has started suggesting ABBA since the new layout. 😣

PLEASE just group buttons which influences the current playing song together on the same side of the screen.
Hey Rafael,

I agree with the rest of the comments that are about the small album art covers. I do like the new que just because of the cover size but it does make the rest of the site unusable.

What I do like to see is:
  • A dark/night version. All this white is just too much.
  • I just bought a Asus zenbook so it would be great if you would create a screenpad app. Link to SDK. (Not active yet but the Spotify app came with the basics)
Thank you!

When I'd like to implement some action to the batch of tracks I select them in the bottom of the scrollable list but then I have to scroll up to the top of the page. Could you arrange the batch processing menu in the visible area of the page?
Before my albums were in the long bar window on the left - this was great.... Something happened and now they are all in the big right window ....
This is a real problem for me ...
I need to go back the way it was before - or i'll end up changing to another provider

please help .... i've been a faithful handy payer ....
merci d'avance

I guess you are talking about our new look? 🙂 Please see above!
I am using Chrome on Linux, and the new look makes Deezer crash regularly. Music stops, Deezer tab becomes unresponsive and needs to be killed.

Version 70.0.3538.67 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Ubuntu 18.04
In the web app, if you press something, e.g. the queue button or the play/pause, pressing the spacebar will, in addition to playing/pausing the song, press that thing.
So if you play a song with the mouse then try to stop it by pressing the space bar it will pause and unpause immediately...
how can i chnage to previous portal interface

Hi @Ayhan.Akgün please see above 😉
Yes, this thing needs a fix, because element focus is a problem not only for a new UI, but also the older one.
In old interface we can share currently playing track from anywhere. Now this is NOT POSSIBLE! Please fix!

Hi @Victor Summer thanks for the feedback, we will pass it on. DO not hesitate to tell as more about the new design 😉
Hello,

I am alright with the new Design.
Mis only one thing, that is really important:
I use Windows Tablet.with Touchscreen ,it is not possible to adjust the "time-bar" of the song while playing.
I can adjust it,but the song just cares on and doesnt jump to the part of the song im adjusting.
I cant jump forward in a song.
When I listen to house music,I am forced to hear the 2 min Intro of a song.
In the old design,it worked, but in the new design its impossible.
This is a major problem.
I hope,it will be fixed, before Deezer changes to the new Design at all.
It makes the use of Deezer very uncomfortable.
Otherwise everything is fine for the new design.
One thing I miss in both designs:
to watch the Album-Cover Fullscreen on both sides.
Theres so many infos on the backside of an album.
A friend if me wont change to Deezer because of this issue.
Best regards

So have deezer removed the ability to turn off the new UI recently, I turned it off on my home PC, but just went to do it here in work and I now dont see the option???

You now cannot change back to the old UI as that option is not showing in deezer labs (at least for me).

Why dont we also have a "fullscreen" mode that shows a "player" like interface, album art, controls, equalizer, lyrics etc, people would eat that up.

hello. since today the old design is unavaliable? i checked deezer labs, can't switch it back. additionally, it was easier to find a song, if you had seen a bigger preview of its album (like visual memory). now the preview is too small. it's not so convenient to change volume. and if you click playlists there appeared menu on the same page, now it's new. please PLEASE let us choose which design we want to see. the new one's usability is lower.

kind regards

How can I switch back to the previous UI?
The square player in the bottom left was the most convenient thing ever.
now I've got a player that is 2400 pixels long 😃 Why?
Please, create the option to switch to the previous design. Currently it's the only problem I've having with your otherwise awesome service.
Hi,
I just accidentally changed to this new format as well.
It used to be possible to go back to the previous format but that doesn't seem to be possible anymore.
How can I still change back to the old format?
I don't like this new one.

If you're going to put the music bar at the bottom of the page, why keep that big menu bar on the left? Why not shrink it or make it retractable? With the old design I could shrink the browser window with Deezer to just that bar and all of the controls I needed would still be visible. This meant that I could still easily interact with my music while Deezer took up a minimal amount of space on my screen, making it easier to switch songs without opening and closing a bunch of tabs.

With this new design (which I no longer have the option to turn off) I have to use a window half the size of my screen to fit in all of the necessary buttons I need to interact with my music. Buttons are spread out in every corner the page which means that interaction requires maximum movement of eyes and mouse across the screen, making it possibly the least efficient design you could come up with. From an ergonomic standpoint, this design is just all over the place and not at all aware of how people interact with it. Sorry, but I'm really not a fan. It really sucks that I can't get the old layout back.

This. I much preferred the old layout, because it was way more convenient. I'm okay with the new one being available but please, give us a switch on/off function. Just one additional virtual [new/old] switch on the UI. That's not asking much, is it?

New "Queue" window is cool and finally a big track progress bar!

It looks good to me as well, but it seems to stop after 40 tracks and then does not refresh automatically for longer playlists, so you do not see what happens/happened after that. A history tab for the play queue would also be handy, like Spotify has in its desktop app.

Furthermore I would also prefer a dark design if possible, i.e grey background with white script.

And a small bug seems to be the missing Shuffle button in the play bar when not playing any song. It only appears when you actually start the music, but most of the time I prefer listening in shuffle mode.
I also find new interface less convenient.
Previous layout is really fine, compact sidebar with large album art and player controls keeped compact in one place remain enough space to browse content.
New interface gives you nothing instead reduced by bottom toolbar valuable horizontal space, player controls stretched by all available width of your screen and nano sized album art.
In spite of this i like new playlist design with drug & drop function.

Please, remain ability to switch to previous version of UI in profile settings.
