Deezer won't play??


Hello, Just went to play as normal but wont play ?? please help !!

Ive had no deezer for a week !! I'm out !

Cant play anything anymore. If you don't fix this i move to amazon. They know how to satisfy customers. What is wrong with you guys???

To be able to help you we need more information about what is happening exactly. Do you get an error message? Have you done this troubleshooting here?

Won't play music. The icon showing it is thinking keeps circling and the a dialogue box comes up that says "almost there, just a few more seconds", but nothing happens.

Sorry that's happening. Could you try the following steps, exactly in this order, to see if it helps with your issue?

  • make sure you're connected to a wifi network
  • uninstall Deezer
  • clean your phone's cache
  • remove the SD card (if applicable)
  • turn off your phone
  • reinstall Deezer
  • open Deezer and download at least one album or playlist
  • reinsert the SD card (if applicable)

Thanks for the info. I did get it figured out. It did have something do with the wi-fi, as well I had a faulty SD card. Anyway, it's been working great since.

Deezer won’t play in Browser or App after upgrade to Big Sur. Cleared cache, uninstalled and re-installed app and still no go. I like Deezer a lot but it’s unusable for me if there isn’t a fix.

I also use Big Sur. Safari and Chrome -> Deezer works in both browsers without any problems.

I use Deezer mainly on a MacBook pro and a M1 and it works fine including a browser in safari and firefox. Have you been able to get it sorted now @djbetho ?

Hey Logan_A, no luck so far. It’s weird, able to play through DJ software but no go using app or any browser. Big drag because I really like Deezer.

 

Sorry to hear that @djbetho . The app and web browser loads everything from Deezer, but a track just won’t play, is that right?

I guess you’ve tried the usual rebooting your mac and router? It might also be worth contacting Deezer Support , detailing as much as possible and see if they can come up with any solution.

Logan_A, tracks load but won’t play. Other curious thing is that it doesn’t show the full length of the song, typically 3:10. Did everything you suggested EXCEPT rebooting my router. Not sure if I mentioned this but the issue appeared after I upgraded from Mojave to Big Sur two days ago. 

 

FIXED! Rebooted in safe mode and ran a disk repair in disk utility. Eureka!!

Thanks a lot for sharing your solution with us, @djbetho! Amazing that you can finally enjoy Deezer in your Mac. You basically repaired the disk permissions and that helped the app. That's super helpful to know!

Do you have a question?

The message you can see in the screenshot tells what’s the problem. Your Deezer account is being used also on another device and they can’t be used at the same time. 
If you like to use Deezer at the same time on several devices you need to have family abo or an individual plan for each device.
