Why some of my favourite songs have disappeared from the playlist?

I don’t mean when they go grey, when they do I can still see them.

I mean completely disappeared, as I have been a loyal customer for years I have quite a lot in that playlist, but only about three hundred, I don’t think it goes over the limit.

Is there a way to see the history of what I had put in there? What I have favourited?

My problem is the loved tracks and albums disappearance. I am sure collectioners of ‘loved albums and tracks’ faced this problems, for all the rest here’s my try to explain the problem:

I prefer my playlists and collections to other users’, so I have lots of playlists and all the tracks that are included into my collection are marked as ‘loved’. So when I open some album I immediately see the tracks I loved.

But it’s very usual for me on Deezer not to find neither my loved albums, nor loved tracks.

I mean, albums are still in the list of ‘loved albums’, but their links take me to albums with the same names but with no tracks I marked as loved. I don’t know why - they were removed, replaced, no idea. Same happens with tracks - tracks links either take me nowhere or, once again, to the album - double where no tracks are loved. 

I absolutely hate this and I never saw this on any other music app. It’s so frustrating for me, I start to think it’s time to move to another service, for example, to Spotify, which never lost my loved albums or tracks and, besides, have this cool feature, which collects all your loved tracks for specific artist. But I feel kinda loyal to Deezer and I am just used to it and don’t waht to change anything. So, if there are reasonable explanations for this chaos or a hope it will stop, I will be happy to here it.

Hi there, have you checked from another device? How many songs, more or less?

Hi, I’ve tried everything, other devices, disinstalling and reinstalling the app, make sure the grey tracks show anyway, anything I could think of. I see less tracks

Hi, Rafael, my question was moved here, so maybe you can help me as well.

My problem is a bit different from the topic author’s.

I see all the tracks I loved, but they are sometimes (not all and not always) not shown on the artists’ albums or on artist’s page. If you can check my profile, somehow, you can check, for example, Crystal Method’s loved tracks from Vegas album. I have these tracks loved and included into my Loved Tracks collection, that’s okay, they are vsible and they will play, but if you click on them, they will go to the Vegas albums showing no loved tracks. Artist’s popular tracks page will neither have them. That’s my case of missing loved tracks.

Another example is my list of loved albums. For example, I have Crystal Method’s albums Keep Hope Alive and Vegas marked as loved. But if I go to the artist page and discography, no album is marked there as loved. And if I try the links, link to Keep Hope Alive is a mistake, and link to Vegas goes to another version of the album, which is, by the way, is not marked as lived. That’s my case of missing loved albums. 

And this happens all the way through my Deezer 5 years experience. From time to time I have these problems of missing tracks and albums. At first I’d just compare my loved tracks and albums with artist’s renewed discography and make corrections (un mark one tracks and mark other), but now, as this mistake is not sovled IN YEARS I became too tired and too frustrated with this permanent mistakes.

my playlist(favourite songs) is selected to download but new songs that i add are not downloaded untill I remove the playlist from downloads and then put it there again and then wait for all the songs on the playlist to download again. can you tell me why this happens and how can I select something so songs would automatically download when i add them to that playlist?

To better understand what's going on and how to help you/fix this, could you please let me know in which device and OS are you experiencing this? If you have the app version that'll help too :thumbsup_tone2:

I'll be keeping an eye on this topic, so every bit of info helps.

It’s been going on for years, every device every IOS.. the older ones just got lost. currently Iphone 11 Ios 13.5.1

This happens always again and again. Feels like every few months, albums disappears based on their Id, to reappear under another Id. For example the Desobeissance album  https://www.deezer.com/en/album/74044622 from Mylene Farmer doesn’t exist anymore … And can now be found here https://www.deezer.com/en/album/74043152 . This is super frustrating ..

Sorry about that @krisa I can imagine how frustrating that can be!

This is because the distributors, not Deezer, remove the content and redeliver it to us. Please keep me posted about it, I can forward these comments to our catalogue teams :thumbsup_tone2:

so I add it, and now I end up with 2 albums in my favourites (just for the screenshot, yes I know how to remove the “removed” one)

Sorry about that. Is that happening on the desktop app or web?

If web, please clear cache + cookies from the browser and it should work. If on the app, please reinstall it.

@Rudi - Both. But I don’t use either of these 2 apps directly. Instead, I’m using the Sonos integration, which gets impacted in a similar way as Sonos ultimately sync my favourites. So when it happens, I’ve got to log into the Deezer app (or on the web) to fix this
