Song is playing at a faster speed then what it should be. Is there a setting to change?

Hi there, please go to the setting and clear the cache. Let me know if it fixes the issue!
Many songs i play have portions that speed up a d go back to normal on random basis.
Its as if the tempo is enabled and disable randomly.
Tried clearing the smart cache with no luck.

An example is “something just like that” chain smokers

i use an iPhone X iOS 12.3.1

I know Rudi asking you to re-install but would you do the following:-

Please do the following in the exact order:-
make sure you're connected to a wifi network
uninstall Deezer
clean your phone's cache
remove the SD card (if you have one)
turn off your phone
turn on your phone
reinstall Deezer
open Deezer and download at least one album or playlist
reinsert the SD card (if you have one)

Let us know (thanks for your patience) how you get on

All I can suggest is you contact support here to see if they can help you 🙂
songs are speeding up when I listen to any song both ways online or downloaded and I tried everything reinstalling the app restart my iPhone everything I even think about canceling my subscription because of this problem please provide me a solution

Sorry that's happened. Could you please tell us what device and OS, and app version do you have? Does this happen with random songs?

I have a Samsung Galaxy s10, on the family premium plan. Songs are speeding up, it seems to be every other song. I have extended the stages space for the smart cache (no option to clear), in the app seeing I've cleared to the  cache and even uninstalled &  reinstalled. This has been happening for about a week now. All dones I've had downloaded for a long time, even somes that are downloaded for offline play. Please help

Sorry that's happened. Could you try the following steps, exactly in this order, to see if it helps with your issue?

  • make sure you're connected to a wifi network
  • uninstall Deezer
  • clean your phone's cache
  • remove the SD card (if applicable)
  • turn off your phone
  • reinstall Deezer
  • open Deezer and download at least one album or playlist
  • reinsert the SD card (if applicable)

I'm having the same issue and it didn't fix it. Almost all my songs are doing this now...

Sorry to hear that. In what device are you using Deezer and what's its OS version?

I've also done some maintenance on your account for you and sent a password reset email. Please change your password and log in with email, directly. And let me know how it goes :wink:

Sorry that's happened. Is the problem occurring with random songs or the same ones all the time? If the latter, please send me a link for the tracks. Alternatively, you can also try changing the audio settings of the app. Let me know how it goes :thumbsup_tone2:

Thanks for reaching out - apologies this has happened. Could you please give us more details about your device and app version? Have you restarted the device before reinstalling the app?

On occasions when using deezer premium ,some of my downloaded track play fast . Sounds like some one is holding g down the fast forward button and play at same time .

Has anyone e else experiences this ???

Hello @Ian Reid sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue. Could you please make sure you are the only one connected to your profile inside the Deezer Family account?

For better understanding, can you please answer the following questions?

  • Does this problem only occur with downloaded tracks or online as well?
  • Does this problem occur with all tracks or just some?
  • What is the brand and model of the device you are having problems with?
  • Which Operating System Version (Android, iOS, Windows) do you have installed?
  • Which Deezer version do you have installed?

I'm on a Galaxy S10 with version 6.1.24.99 and am having the same issue for God knows many times now. On previous phones and versions I was able to mess around with a combination of using the repair button and clearing the cache/smart cache and restarting to manage to get the songs to play normally again, maybe once or twice having to redownload the playlist or album.. The next to last time it happened, a large portion of the downloaded songs I had stored were playing fast after these solutions failed. Even clearing the deezer data of songs that were downloaded failed to get them to play normally so I went through with uninstalling the app entirely and redownloading the probably eight thousand songs I had downloaded on the device for my daily data-less commute. This finally worked. And now about two weeks later it's happening again, only with a handful of songs so far, and again the only way I'm able to get the songs to play normally is by deleting all of the thousands of songs again, uninstalling the app, and redownloading them again. Thankfully I'm stuck at home now so this is slightly less of a pain than it would be if I was using gigabytes of my mobile data to redownload songs because the app won't play them properly again. However, I have been dealing with this for years and this current solution isn't a viable long-term one so I would like to know if there is something I can do to keep this from happening or if there is a fix for this bug in the works.

I say this because if you tried everything as you've said, we need to dig a bit deeper. Do you have an SD card? 

Ok guys this has been happening for a while now witj my deezerany songs just speed up for random reason now.my solution is to delete song from playlist and re download them.. Ps: this only happens to me on downloaded songs.. Now that beeing said deezer wont do anything to fix issue  they only say delete cache  delete app delete this ,delete that  this isn't a beta version  we pay top dollar for a service that can't provide top servece as we can all see it just keeps coming up so I am definitely going to cancel my premium plan and just switch to spotify my friend has spotify and he doesnt have this issue ...plus deezer have been saying that they will soon bring cross fade for songs atleast 3'years now and nothing ...deezer should really get their act together so they stop losing paying customers to the competition .
