Does anyone stream Deezer HiFi to their HiFi system via a network streamer? I currently have iPhone-DAC-Amplifier_Speakers but I am considering a Bluesound Node or Cambridge Audio 851N to replace the “iPhone-DAC” portion of my flow. Any comments on the functionality of the Bluesound/Cambridge apps, or do you Airplay to the device?

Thanks in advance!

The Bluesound Node is a good solution since it has native support for Deezer. Cambridge did not the last time I listened to it about a year back. BluOs is also pretty stable with good range of features. It’s also cheaper than the Cambridge.

I do read the Bluesound app is far more Deezer friendly. I also read the Cambridge DAC might be better, but would it be better to the point of making a large difference in what I hear? My current DAC is the Audioquest Dragonfly Red.

Check out the Raspberry pi 4 running picoreplayer with Logitech Media Server. It has the Deezer Plugin.

Install a Hifiberry Pro + card on top of the Raspberry pi 4 it has toslink and coaxial outputs….costs about £120.00 aprox…...very good sound, would highly recommend.

I ended up getting the Bluesound Node 2021. Thus far…..the sound quality is improved, noticeably, over streaming from an iPhone to an Audioquest Dragonfly DAC; I can Airplay my Deezer to the Node reliably; Deezer on the Bluesound app is not exactly as functional as there actual Deezer app but it is certainly not offensive in any way, other than what appears to be a 2000 song limit in a playlist. Thus far I am generally happy with this mode of streaming Deezer in a  Hi Fi system.
