Launch track mix unexpected behaviour

I am pretty sure this is a bug:

  1. Say you search for a music on your Deezer app -- e.g, Olhos Coloridos, Sandra de Sá.
  2. Music is found, we like the song and we want to hear it and other songs alike.
  3. We then click the three dots/options to choose "Launch Track Mix".
  4. A "Track Mix" is indeed launched _but the song we searched and used to launch the tracks mix is *not* there_. Such behaviour is completely unexpected.

**Expected behaviour**:

  • When I ask for "Launch Track Mix", the song I'm using to launch the mix should be the first one in such mix:
    • If the music is already playing, it does *not* stop/restart or anything disruptive should happen, the app should simply start a new playlist/mix with the current song at the top.
    • If the music is *not* already playing -- like in the result of my search, for instance --, then it should start playing *as* the first song of such mix.

Hello @kk Brandt, that’s not a bug, but I agree your suggestion makes a lot of sense. We will make sure to share it with our teams

Have a nice weekend!

@Kevin Deezer any news on that? Thanks.

Hello @kk Brandt, none so far unfortunately, we’ve been very busy with many projects recently (gapless, independent accounts on Family subscriptions...) so this was not deemed a priority unfortunately.

Have a nice day!

Really great suggestion! Now we have horrible UX with the launching track mix. I definitely don’t want to stop playing my “favorite” song before listening to the track mix.

Hey @Okuma

It's intended for the time being, but we completely get your feedback - don't worry, the teams are working on a few redesigns, this is in the discussion.

Thank you for your support :pray_tone2:

I support the OP suggestion.

it works on the website version but not on the android app.

At least the part (and in fact, the one that matters to me) that is working on the website is :

  • search for a track or look for a track in favourites : launch track mix => starts a playlist with searched track is the first element to play

What’s not working is within the Android app (and this is kinda annoying) :

  • search for a track or look for a track in favourites : launch track mix => starts a playlist without the the searched track as the first element

Xiaomi Note 11

Android 11

MIUI Global 13.0.10

Deezer version 7.0.3.43

Cheers

Hey @Michel Palourdiau thanks for your feedback and update.
I’ll pass the information to our devs in the Android team.
I can’t guarantee the feature will be available in the short term, if they decide to move forward with the idea/suggestion.
