Hello there.

29.06.20 I registered to Deezer Premium and I was refugee of Google Music.

I still feel like Google Music worked fine and I’d use it if available. I was forced to go Deezer. I am tired to this Dua Lipa promotion by now. I mean to listen underground Hard Dance Music and your algorithms are pushing Dua Lipa with other commercial stuff when I want to trackmix my favourite tracks.

I informed here many times, and they do post to send it to the team, but I still to this day hear Dua Lipa. And all the other commercial names. I feel like Deezer Premium is not opimal for listening underground music with this poor radio experience. I only use FLOW and daily. These works well and enjoyable.

I do feel like I wouldn’t pay €9,99 a month for this because I really need to AVOID trackmixes on underground tracks. And I do know before even listening trackmix if the song is underground. So usually I can not even use features Deezer has because of this Dua Lipa promotion I am tired of.

Search is bad. It finds when correct, but if you typo, it won’t find anything.

Did you mean? Can it be added.

If not for that robust FLOW and crazy cheap annual €7,99 price point, I’d be long gone…

I mean for me €9,99 is not a problem if it works, but I decided to give you a go. After all you are tiny French company, which is not as huge as big Spottily. I have Premium time for 9 months.

If nothing will be improved, it’ll be sad to start searching new buffet for the music?

I don’t mind about new features as much, just keep what you already have working.

Another bug came recently, I can not see all releases on some artist pages.

Also the fact that I have almost 1600 liked tracks in 6 months customer, I am 400 away from limit.

Deezer could be the best app here is, but you need some work on it still.

I am tired to this Dua Lipa promotion and poor radios as you may know by now.

Limits constantly on our mind.

No notifications about new releases even if I follow artists. Which point to follow?

I hope you’d stop for a while adding new features and make sure that current works. I know you run a small team, and I am willing to wait, but I have already few “bugs” bothering me. Yes, Dua Lipa promotion. It simply is that bad. You listen hard dance track mix and get commercial top charts…

I do enjoy Deezer. Flow. Looks. Apps. But what more?

Maybe it is time to take limits away, and make recommendations and trackmixes work?

It is a good deal for us all.

Hey @hpguru
I guess after using Deezer extensively for a while, you can now see the ins and outs of the app.

Let me try covering some things with you, as we really appreciate your feedback:

  • Because of what you mentioned, being a small company, development on our side takes longer than it would be in comparison to a giant company which you used to enjoy, for example
  • Nevertheless, our commitment is pretty much aligned with what you need right now. 2021 is a year we'll be focusing less on bringing new features, but getting the "current ones right" as you said. This is actually our big focus for the next year, together with connectivity - please stick around and see!
  • Our teams are working on improving recommendations and the player so that you don't get chart recommendations when our app is a bit lost for what to suggest
  • And the limits is something we've been developing for quite some time now. It isn't as easy as simply increasing, we need to make sure the app copes well with it so it's a technical challenge for us - but it is going well so far

So these changes, with the exception of the favourites' limits, will take a bit of time before they're completed - over the course of 2021. With that in mind, I need you to be patient with this, if you're wishing to see the growth and improvement of our service.

I trust you understand the points I've shared with you above and I honestly hope you stay on this journey with us for many years to come :relaxed:

Actually Google was worse fixing bugs… their Google Music did was buggy for some stuff, and it took them ages to fix, and these they didn’t fix because of YouTube Music. I am generally happy with Deezer Premiere, but poor trackmixes on lesser heard bands is very bad indeed. I just live one day and hope.

I understand you must run small team and this is why I wanted support you.

6 months you can find flaws like I mentioned.

I support fully this action: please make sure product works great before adding anything new.

My problem is I tried them all… Tidal. Google Music. YouTube Music. Rdio. I even tried Microsoft Music when it was a thing, not anymore available for streaming. And none of these are decent apps :(

Is not always about size of a company.

Now I stick for a Deezer.

Like I said at €7,99 mo annual price point you can live with these problems.

I paid 9,99 a month for discontinued Google Music with bugs going on since 2016… until they closed.

So I was needed to go pay elsewhere.

My main problems with Deezer are limits, poor trackmixes sometimes and artist pages bugs (lately).

I like about Deezer minimalistic view, good playlist options (covers to add etc.), nice looking apps with frequent updates, and basic working flow stream which could be more configurable of course.

I hope to stay for years, but I do not think there’s really one-in-all great streaming portal with no issue.

This is why I am a bit sceptical about finding it ever.

I hope to see some improvements to features we currently have on Deezer.

I don’t even need anything new at this point -- I want to have what we have already here which works.

Satisfying. Thank you.

Yeah this is still an issue. One thing that might help is for users who have been here a few months, if the algorithm is lost, just don’t show me anything. I’ve had to watch a lot of album covers where I’m unsure if it’s a genuine recommendation or just the default. i’m generally not a fan of anything top 40, and if I am I’ll search for it. Usually the marker is something in French: I’m flemish but get Walloon recommendations all the time

Yes this is still big issue. Unheard music hard dance or rap and hip hop, it can play charts…

I still avoid track and artist mixes.

On some artist and track mixes they repeat same 25 songs which I hear over and over.

If listened for hours.

All I can say the Google Music Radio was joke as well, but at least most of the time I was able to hear more related music to content, even with repetition. I guess they all are not finest.

On YouTube Music “Flow” is so bad, I didn’t listen it twice. Radio poor.

I hope Deezer can improve their radio sections 2021.
