[FEEDBACK/FEATURE] "Add to playlist" only sorting playlists by last updated -> is there any way to change this?

Is there any way to sort differently? I have close to 300 playlists and there is no way to sort other than by last updated. This has functionally made having any more than 5 to 10 playlists useless.

This isn't the first time this feature removal has been pushed, but it was previously rolled back. Why have you done this again? Is there any way to circumvent this? Any setting i can change?

The last thread on this topic over 15 days ago has had no answer from deezer support.

Please, I have used and loved deezer for close to (more than?) a decade and had no intention of changing service, but i am going to be forced to if there is no solution. I have endured the long loading times, the offline playing bugs, the "error loading content" issues, and all the other problems with the app, and yet have so far remained a staunch supporter of deezer for all its qualities as a streaming service outweigh these issues, but this feature removal (not even a bug!) will be the end of me.

Thank you very much for your time, i look forward to hearing from you.

Hi @LHT !

On my Android device I see that there is an option to sort playlists by :

Recently added
Recently updated
Recently listened to
A-Z

You need to tap on the two arrows to open the sort option (see screenshot)

Hi nina,

As outlined in my post, my post title, and the previous thread, this issue only arises when *adding* songs to a playlist. Not when browsing playlists. The fact you can browse playlists any way you want but cannot sort when adding adds insult to injury.

I have been using for a long time, and am not an idiot. Please take the time to read my post as well as the previous thread on this topic and take this seriously, as everyone in my music community of producers and djs have the same issue. I have attached above a picture of what the UI looks like when clicking add to.

Thank you for your time and feedback.

I was wondering this exact thing! I have preface tags to help me sort playlists and now they’re a lot less useful because the “add to playlist” menu isn’t sorted alphabetically! I don’t even have the option to do so! I can see the utility of being able to sort by “recently modified” but it makes finding specific playlists infinitely harder!

You just need to remember how many times you added a song to a new playlist and subtract the number of times you added a song that is ahead of the playlist you want to add the current song to. Then you will know how many places down the playlist list the correct playlist is located. All you need to do is scroll down the list of playlists as if it were alphabetical. If you know that you have used a playlist that was below the playlist you want to use 35 times, you only need to swipe three times (if your mobile phone displays 10 playlists on each screen), and the playlist you want to use will be number 5 from the top.

I strongly agree - this is an awful change. I've been using Deezer for a decade and this problem is making me reconsider changing for another platform. I don’t want to :(

Scrolling through my 200+ playlists is impossible

I really hope they address the issue quickly
