I recently updated to Deezer HIFI and most of the songs on my playlists are now censored. Am I the only one having this issue? I don’t understand why I should have a altered version of the song when I pay an additional fee.

In addition, I get problems with loading songs. I even tried with a brand new phone and got the same issue. I am at home next to my wifi.

Hey @amlapierre Which is internet speed? Lossless takes much more than 320K. For 320K I use 4G 1 Mb unlimited for €6,90 a month just fine on the go. Lossless is 1.25 Mb or so a minute, so you need at least 5 Mb net assumnig no one else is using it at the same time. Check your net and then may works.

Hi hpguru,

Thanks for replying, I have an 220 Mbps connection at home. Hence, why I believe there is a great problem with the platform. Maybe this is because I am in Dubai? Because, I never have any issues with internet speed. I am using my home wifi, I am literally next to the router and most of the songs do not load immediately. I just re-started to use Tidal and I never had a single second of delay. So there is something wrong.

Hello. Yes it may be fine for streaming.

You should see if your internet is slowing down to Deezer servers.

The 220 Mbps speed you see on your internet bill is to their server, and it may be slower because of network issues at server, you are connecting or in your home network. I work in IT and could recommend rebooting your router and also pinging deezer. You can do that opening command.

Write to cmd and press enter:

Ping deezer.com and see if it is too slow or if there is any packet loss you might have a problem.

Also trying on several devices, maybe on another net, to determine where is the glitch.

In some cases clearing Cache on Chrome or reinstalling app may help.

I am Deezer user for Premium just few days and for me streaming works well.

Sometimes it buffers on the go, but because I save on my phone bill and have only 1 Mb/s 4G unlimited. You should call your internet provider or write Deezer to solve this thing.

May you have a wonderful day!

Thanks a lot for taking the time. Actually the 220 Mbps is the current speed I have when I go to fast.com (I know it’s not very accurate but it’s a good indicator).

Anyway, I already canceled my subscription with Deezer and moved to Tidal. It is the same price and the performance is better.

At least you have 4 times faster net than I have :)

Enjoy your net at home!!!

I test my net usually on Speedtest, since sometimes Fast.com didn’t show real numbers compared to reality. I would recommend nearest server to you and also test your ping and jitter. These are also as important as your speed. If jitter or ping is too high, even fastest net in the world can be bad ))

Hello @amlapierre, did you just move to Dubai? I’m trying to find a reason why you would hear only censored content. Are you sure you looked for the explicit version of the albums? The censored and the explicit ones are often both available in the discography.

Thank you for your feedback

No I have been using the service for years and never had any issues with speed. The problem started when I upgraded to the HIFI service.

For the censored content, these are songs that were already on my playlists. When I moved to HIFI, the songs became censored.

Thanks for the feedback @amlapierre, could you give me links to some of those songs that are now censored so I have a look?
