Chromecast icon missing in Deezer desktop app

Weet iemand hoe ik via me iphone deezer kan croamen naar mn tv? Heb een smart tv maar kan in de app zelf op mn iphone het croame icoontje nergens vinden!!??

Hi there, you need to have Premium in order to be using Chromecast. Do you maybe have a free subscription?

That is strange, it should be in the top right hand corner of the screen. Can you post a screen of what you see?
Hi, I'm having same problem today. I updated to the latest version on my PC and the Chromecast icon is missing. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it but again the icon is missing. I Also have Deezer on my Android phone and the icon is there. I have a premiium account.

Is there a bug in the new version of Deezer for Windows?

Pls see below a screenshot of what I see on my PC

Can you pls help me?

There's no reported bug. The icon should still be there.
Could you try reinstalling the app once again? But this time, search for %appdata% and delete the Deezer folder. Then restart your computer and reinstall the app. Let me know how it goes 👍🏼

I have similar problem. I’m Premium user but don’t see Chromecast cast icon on desktop app on my Mac neither when I play from Safari. Can somebody help me?

Thanks for letting me know, guys @mikijeni @Phylippo4270. Have you tried rebooting your router after 3 mins?

I’ve rebooted and reset all devices in line - no success. Seems Apple and Google are closing own environments. I can play Deezer on Chromecast only from Chrome. Case for some antimonopoly body...

I used to cast using a “Cast button” on Dezeer’s web player. 

For some time now, the Cast icon does not apear on the player (see pic of as it used to apear).

This is uniqu to the chrome browser as at the same time, casting icon does apear on my mobile app so I beleave my Cast Reciever is OK.

Can any one point a solution?

Thanks for reporting it back. We're working on a new devices discovery feature with an updated Google protocol. So we're expecting a considerable improvement for this integration. Stay tuned :thumbsup_tone2:

Sorry about that. Could you please try clearing cache and cookies to see if it works? You seem to have the opposite issue of @mikijeni 

I recommend restarting your internet router after about 3 mins to see if it helps.

I did all that, with no help…

When another device (mobile app) is actively casting to my Chrom Cast receiver, the icon does appear on Deezer’s browser player. So, there is some casting ability but can not initiate casting from my browser unless another device is casting and I override it from the browser.

Thanks for coming back and sharing it with us. We're working on a new Chromecast integration which is due to be finished soon - more updates about this to come by the end of the year. So your workaround could be the way forward for now.

Any update to this? The issue has now been apparent for over year.

 

You said “finished soon” regarding the new cast integration. Was half a year long enough to fix this?

 

It’s also clear from this thread, other threads and emails I’ve received that you can’t actually support your customers. There have been several fundamental issues ingrained into Deezer from the start and most have not been fixed.

 

As a user trying to embrace new technology, it’s frustrating that using deezer via bluetooth, a more dated technology, actually has more benefits vs the limited experience when casting.

 

So - is the casting issue still the same, or has it been fixed?

Our cast integration isn't available on the desktop app because the new integration (for mobile apps) hasn't been developed for the new version of our app. It used to be available before under Google's old protocols but the new version has only been developed for our mobile apps. It'll take some more time as we're invested in bringing new features to the app and increasing our favourites' limits, for example.

All leading music/video apps support Google Cast (including Deezer mobile app).

Please bring it back to Deezer desktop app. Casting to modern audio systems is not a minor feature for audiophiles. Thanks.
