Hi Rudi.

It is odd to me that an idea to bring it back should be even created. I mean, this feature was there. You said you are working on an updated feature so I guess we won't get this feature back. Why open a vote post for it is actually necessary?

I'm missing to this feature because as someone who NEEDS to find new music constantly, I can't rely on FLOW alone. I need more.

Thank you for your feedback. The voting for the idea is to push our devs to prioritise a new replacement feature, quicker. It's also to raise awareness about the impact removing this feature has had.

We're reporting what's discussed in this topic to our devs quite regularly. And once we get an update about this project, we'll be able to give more details.

I am one more voice to the concert of disgruntled customers, and I am interested to know the reason why the feature was removed if you have any idea about this:
  • was it deemed too costly to maintain? Cost of the personalized suggestion too high in terms of machine time?
  • was it targeted to be replaced by another feature? If so, I fail to see any materialization of the same, but maybe it is there somewhere. Before you suggest anything linked with flow or daily weekly Inspired by tracklist, I must let you know that I don't see these as replacing fully the "Hear this" feature, but maybe you can explain me how you would be using these.
  • what "here" are you referring to when you say @dahisock will find additional information here about the removal of the feature? Do you mean "here" like this thread? or there was a link to consult? I am curious to have a technical/product explanation of why it was removed.
I have subscribed to the topic that you created to bring back the feature (https://en.deezercommunity.com/got-an-idea-9/bring-back-the-hear-this-section-43806), and I must say that I am surprised that no more people than that are actively requesting for bringing this feature back.

As far as I am concerned, I must say that I didn't join Deezer for this feature, but because I am a French man and supporting the French industry. However, its removal makes me so sad that I am considering very seriously moving to another company. I have seen mentioned by one user in a thread the date of end of June to get some update on the topic. However, I don't see anything concrete. Could you give a date when you will have a decision to bring back or not this functionality and a target date for getting it done if this is deemed strategic?

Please bring this feature back, it was the best thing about Deezer for so many of us - I don't just want to be negative but the "Flow" feature is not a replacement (it's a pretty poor feature imho, just shuffles a few of my favourited tracks and some popular songs I would never have listened to).

I still have this feature available via Sonos, so the tech backend must exist - please re-enable for the client apps.

I have chosen Deezer for this function, the operation of which is described in the link above.
Why "hear this" disappeared? Deezer is silent. I will give up Deezer at the end of this month. You can always write to me when there is some cool functionality.

I just cancelled my subscription.
You can talk to me when "Hear this" functionality is restored, or some loudly announced better successor to this feature.
