If I have not a data internet can I listen and looking music and do everything?

with a subscription you can downlod music to listen without internet, but you won't be able to browse or search for new things without a connection 🙂

Depends on which platform and if you're a paying subscriber or not. On mobile you can toggle on Offline-mode in settings.

I have a deezer premium account and want to play music when in the gym but I can only play my downloaded music. I have enabled mobile data.
I can’t play my favourite music, artists, genres etc.

any ideas?
im thinking of cancelling and using Spotify or Apple Music which does work

Hi @Anita.Stannard

under Settings (in the Deezer app) can you check you have "offline mode" turned off? 🙂

Hi there @jacomad

There's no offline mode on the Desktop App - but you may want to prevent the app from using the internet by blocking it using a firewall application, for example.
Having to enable offline mode was a surprise for me. I often drive in areas with no cell reception or no data connection and was about to cancel my paid Deezer subscription because the app was useless on road trips and flights. I would like if 1 - the app could detect when flight mode is on automatically. 2 - It didn't need 'offline mode' toggled at all and just worked as expected. We're not all online all the time.

HI @zentagonist if you enable flightmode the app will act as if in offline mode. There is no need to enable that separately. So what you are suggesting is already there. If I misunderstood anything or you mean something else let me know. However this seems like an idea for our ideas forum 😉
I did some testing to figure out where I was going wrong.

Quick version - it's only a problem in Android Auto.

Longer version. Everything works as expected / designed on android in the app. But when I'm in my car I often don't have a data connection, and I'm accessing Deezer through the Android Auto app. It's this view that fails to show my downloaded playlists and albums. If I exit AA then view playlists and downloads in Deezer directly they show up fine under all circumstances.

Steps to repro - Disable data, or enable flight mode (works both ways) -> Start Android Auto -> Open Music -> Select Deezer (unless it's already your default, but some people will have multiple music options here) -> Navigate to albums.

I hope that helps. I listen to offline music in my car a lot, looking forward to this issue being addressed.

@zentagonist

Yes, you're right - it affects Android Auto. And it's already been looked into! We'll update the community once we get more news here.
