@Rudi

Last friday, I turned off the computer. Today i started it again and the Deezer app is working as expected. Deezer helper sits at 5-8% CPU usage.

Seems to be that every time the app updates we need to restart.
Hi, I'm experiencing the same problem (~125% CPU usage), since I've updated to the newest MacOS Mojave minor release (version 10.14.5 -> 18F203) a couple of days ago. I'm using the newest MacBook Pro (15-inch 2018 - 2,2 GHz Core i7 - 16 GB RAM)

A reboot seems to solve the problem. But I want to monitor it for a couple of days to be completely sure.

Guys, we are on the Mac. It is not acceptable to have to reboot the system because of an update of a music app! Especially if I pay 20 € / month for Deezer HiFi.

Please solve it.

UPDATE:

After one night in Stand-By (MacBook closed) I'm experiencing the same Issue again!

--> The restart of the MacOS didn't help in the long term. Deezer Helper ist at ~125% again (distributed over all cores; see the attachment) and the fans are becoming loud again. I've tried to restart the Process itself several times. But that didn't help.

See the attachment:
You can clearly see the graph rising after starting the app (blue arrows). Then it remains nearly constant until I'm killing the Deezer Helper process again (orange arrows).

Now I had to restart the MacBook again. It seemed to solve to problem for short term.

--> But I don't want to restart my MacBook every morning.

Hey @jeffgenp

Thanks for the feedback - we'll pass it on to our devs!
Hey @Rudi,

could you please "reopen" this topic. It's marked as "solved" which is definitely not correct.

Do you have any news on this issue?

Hi there @jeffgenp

Thanks for coming back to us. I have now altered the label for topics that were previously answered, instead of having it 'solved'. The 'best answer' tool is used to update all users in the thread, but that doesn't reflect the issue as solved for us. We've had a few new releases recently, but we're always looking into the CPU usage. Thanks for the reminder! I'll pass more feedback to the devs about this.
