Deezer App Big CPU usage


Hi,

under MacOS High Sierra on a brand new Macbook 2018 i9 the deezer macos app is constantly use more than 120% cpu.

thanks for letting me know. Just one more thing that will help us investigating this, are you using something else at the same time like downloading files? Also, any pattern that makes this happen, like certain album, playlist, artist...? Thanks!
Same issue here...
As soon as I open the App the "Deezer Helper" Jumps to 127% CPU-Usage even when I'm not playing anything. The Deezer App itself just uses around 3%.

I got more than enough CPU-Power, but my fans go to full power right away. Not a nice sound while just playing music.

Hi guys, I've checked with the team and they're aware of it. Lowering the CPU usage is one of their priorities right now. They've already made some progress, but it still needs a bit of work. Bear with us while we're working hard on this. And thanks a lot for the reports, we really appreciate it! 🙂
Any updates on this?

The Deezer Helper process on Mac is still often consuming 100+ percent of CPU continuously. The only solution seems to be to quit the Deezer app.

I really wish this annoying issue could be resolved quickly.

Are you using our latest app version? I've tested the app on our side and Deezer Helper is actually using no more than 10% of the CPU.

@Rudi Yes, I'm using the version 4.0.5 which I believe it's the latest version. I just had to again quit Deezer to stop it using 100+ percent of CPU.

It's not always doing it, but relatively often.

Yes, I re-installed it and almost immediately the Deezer Helper process was again out of control. After an automatic software update this morning I also experienced multiple playback errors.

Guys, this is not a cheap service to subscribe. It's supposed to be premium quality. You have to start maintaining a higher standard with your software. Thanks.


I think I discovered at least one source of error which causes the Deezer Helper process problem: I found TWO Helper processes running in the Activity Monitor, the other one hogging CPU and the other one not doing anything. I restarted my computer, now see only one process and it's behaving well so far.
The problem persists. The Deezer helper process is still hogging 120+ percent of CPU and there's only one process. This problem is daily.

Also more than once a day the playback just stops with some unspecified error message.

Please fix.
