As with Family Subscription, how about an option on Premium+ to play songs without explicit Content!

It all depends what the record labels send to us and if they only send us a censored version of a track for example, this is all we can provide 🙂

It's not the status in every album. Anyway I don't know the reason but would luke to know as well.
I agree with this idea. Would love it if I could save/like/listen to radio edits of tracks with explicit content.
Theres songs that dont say anything about it being clean and it is filtering the bad words
PLEASE READ.

I will attempt to persuade u, for our shared benefit, why u need to have an off switch to censored material.

Its official, hip hop and R&B have taken over the charts and the attention of the masses. Most listeners of these genres instinctively understand and appreciate the "rawness" of the message. After a while it can get frustrating. This listener, even if they stay on, will probably no longer be too excited about deezer.

In short, if im with friends, I will beg that they play their version of DAMN by king ken. deezer play time goes down.

Dont mean to criticize, u guys do a great job. love the flows and playlists.

God Bless.

Some explicit music appears to be Censored. For example songs from the rapper Post Malone totally cut out the explicit music even in deezer playlists while other songs don't. Is there a setting for this or anything I may need to know.

Thanks

@Taahir.Rawat I moved your topic to this existing one as it was explained here 🙂
Why are there no options for the original song with elicit words as the artist intended?????

@jedd1000 I moved your question to this topic as it was already answered here 🙂

I can't seem to find the explicit version of the album. Is it possible for you guys add the explicit version of the album.

@Rafael. you are mistaken as your statement is provably untrue. For example, I can play the album “run the jewels 3” on my phone totally uncensored. However if I ask Alexa to play it or it shows up in Flow, it’s censorced. Either you’re wrong or you’re not telling the whole story. This is a real problem and there needs to be a way to fix it. If you’re correct then please explain the discrepancy I described. Thanks.

Hi @Giving_You_FLAC , no reason for me to be lying 🙂 Let's build trust in our beautiful relationship!
Sometimes there are the two versions, explicit and clean, each from a different album. Maybe Alexa is playing from a different album. We don't have do not modify contents and only the artists/label/distributors have the power of changing any song. 😉
@Rafael. I'm not saying you're lying, but clearly you're missing the point. Your last statement proves that you DO have a censored version, AND an uncensored version. Your users are asking you for a way to choose between those or to never have the censored version. Many other music services have put in the effort to mark tracks explicit or provide users a filter option. You say you have both versions for at least my example, which means there are more. Are you telling me it's impossible for you to know what files you're sending the user? That just doesn't make sense. I understand you aren't modifying content, but you also aren't doing anything at all to let users know when they are accessing a censored or uncensored version, even when your service has both. Is this clear now? Please fix this.

Hey, there is a suggestion on the ideas forum to display when it's the explicit version of a song, make sure to vote for it - https://en.deezercommunity.com/got-an-idea-9/display-explicit-icon-next-to-song-title-2665
Why are songs on my premium profile cencored but the same songs on my boyfriend's profile are not?????

check you're listening to the same version of the songs. if there's a clean and an explicit version of the same, you could be listening to the different ones 😉
How to access explicit original version of censored tracks? e.g. ( Under the Influence by Eminem)

@mabdelmeguid I moved your question to this topic. Please check the answer on the first post 🙂
Hi, I'm sorry if this question has been answered already. Is there a way to label what songs are explicit and what songs are clean?
Why is it that when I list all of an artist's albums, sometimes only either the clean or the explicit version is listed, but not both? Both versions of the album seem to be properly linked to the artist from the album page, but they don't show up on the artist's list of albums.

I've tried reporting problems with albums as not showing up on the artist's album page, but I never hear any responses to those submissions.

Examples:
Starboy ,The Weeknd
Because The Internet, Childish Gambino

Hi there, it depends on the label if we have both versions or not, we cannot do anything about that I am afraid.

Sorry that you have not got any answer. How did you submit your request?
