Why does track give error message "not available in your country"?

Every track in the album "Coming Home" by Kristin Chenoweth shows "this track is not available in your country"
https://www.deezer.com/us/album/9098645
This album was available until a few months ago, but now it doesn't even show up in the discography or through search in the Android app - only can find it on the web.
I had this album downloaded, but it disappeared from downloads as well - on both my Android devices.

Yet this albums streams here in US on Spotify without any problem:

So clearly this is not an issue with the copyright holder not allowing streaming the album in US.

Hi there, only artists and their distributors can decide about country restrictions, but it's weird that Kristin Chenoweth's album isn't available in America...
I will get in touch with our music acquisition team and ask them to contact the artist distribuitor to clarify this!
Thank for letting us know!

I live in Germany. I would like to hear the entire album "...adriano" of Adriano Celentano but the most of songs inside this album are grey and don't work. Why??

The reason is copyrights matter . Deezer doesn't have the rights to suggest this album in your country .
Hi,
today I was looking for a song named “I know there’s gonna be good times by Young Thug and Jamie xx”
but I can’t find it and a friend of my has that song in his playlist! We did like everthing to get that song but nothing works.

Hey there, are you and your friend in the same country? Music right are negotiated from country to country, so something available in the uk might not be available in the usa, for example :)

If that's not the case, try asking your friend to share with you the direct link to the song and then check if you can play it.
I cant play tracks by Hanazawa kana

Hi @KNB, do you get any error message such as not "not available in your country"?
Also, please clear the cache and see if it gets better! Go to the settings > App > empty and increase the smart cache. 😉

Hi @KNB please send us the link and we check this for you. It might be that the content is not available in your country I am afraid.
So I saw an album in a kpop playlist (ONE & SIX) and I can't play it because it says that it isn't available in my country.. so I tried on other platforms and there it worked. What is going on?
(same with artists NCT, NCT U) my country is The Netherlands

Hi @Drojo, have you tried from another device? Please send me the link of the album or playlist, I can have a look for you 🙂
Hi,
I have premium subscription since recent,
and tracks in my playlist are not all available.

Playlist was created in past and I was allowed to listen all tracks.
https://www.deezer.com/playlist/22465921?utm_source=deezer&utm_content=playlist-22465921&utm_term=7630021_1543585624&utm_medium=web

Now some are not, even if they belong to same album as ones available.
Why is that?

How I can make sure Deezer will allow me to listen music
I added in past (and was available)?

My country: Serbia.

Thank you,
Srdjan

Hi there, sorry about that. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it. It can happen that sometimes the rights com back, this is not something we can necessarily influence I am afraid. Please wait a week or so and see if it changes 😉
The song "Daai ding" from Ivan Roux and its album is on deezer but it is not available to play as it says that it is not available because its not from my country. But it actually is South African. How can i fix this or access it

Hi @Marizelle Oosthuizen I'll let you read this handy topic to learn everything there is to know about our catalog and how it works 😉
I switched to Deezer family from Deezer Premium. Some songs are now "not available in my country", even though I still live in the same country and everyone that has Deezer premium can listen to these songs. It is my understanding that the subscription plan shouldn't change the catalog?

Please help.

Hi there, I don't believe we have a such limitation... What song are you talking about and what country are you based in? I can investigate it from here!
Does Deezer's support monitor this forum? Do I need to contact them in some other way?

Hi HTC.HTC, just checked your account again and it says that you are based in Israel, not America... therefore you are not able to listen to this Album that is only available in America at the moment.
Hi Rafael,

My payment method is based in Israel, but this album doesn't work for me anymore no matter where I am.
I used to be able to listen to it while in US, but sometime around February this year the album suddenly became unavailable - while I'm in US.

Did Deezer switch from geolocation to using payment method's country to decide what I can or can not listen to?

regards,
Vitaly.

Hi there @HTC.HTC

Thanks for reporting back to us. We haven't changed the way it is. The catalogue recommendations are attached to the country you've subscribed from. It could be that the content was made available again by the distributors some time ago.

Please clarify - what do you mean by "made available again"? I didn't regain access to it ever since it became unavailable for me.

Does Deezer only use the payment method's country to decide what I can see, regardless of physical location? If I would switch to a US debit/credit card, would I be able to access the entire US catalog worldwide? Or do I need to create a new account while in US?

You need to subscribe to a paid plan while in the US @HTC.HTC. The app recognises your location at the time and sets the country as your preference.
About the content, distributors/artists' teams/labels are the ones providing the tracks and choosing which ones are available in each country.
