Tracks are "not available in your country", even though they stream on another platform in my country

Every track in the album "Coming Home" by Kristin Chenoweth shows "this track is not available in your country"

This album was available until a few months ago, but now it doesn't even show up in the discography or through search in the Android app - only can find it on the web.
I had this album downloaded, but it disappeared from downloads as well - on both my Android devices.

Yet this albums streams here in US on Spotify without any problem:

So clearly this is not an issue with the copyright holder not allowing streaming the album in US.

Hi there, only artists and their distributors can decide about country restrictions, but it's weird that Kristin Chenoweth's album isn't available in America...
I will get in touch with our music acquisition team and ask them to contact the artist distribuitor to clarify this!
Thank for letting us know!

Does Deezer's support monitor this forum? Do I need to contact them in some other way?

Hi HTC.HTC, just checked your account again and it says that you are based in Israel, not America... therefore you are not able to listen to this Album that is only available in America at the moment.
Hi Rafael,

My payment method is based in Israel, but this album doesn't work for me anymore no matter where I am.
I used to be able to listen to it while in US, but sometime around February this year the album suddenly became unavailable - while I'm in US.

Did Deezer switch from geolocation to using payment method's country to decide what I can or can not listen to?

regards,
Vitaly.

Hi there @HTC.HTC

Thanks for reporting back to us. We haven't changed the way it is. The catalogue recommendations are attached to the country you've subscribed from. It could be that the content was made available again by the distributors some time ago.

Please clarify - what do you mean by "made available again"? I didn't regain access to it ever since it became unavailable for me.

Does Deezer only use the payment method's country to decide what I can see, regardless of physical location? If I would switch to a US debit/credit card, would I be able to access the entire US catalog worldwide? Or do I need to create a new account while in US?

You need to subscribe to a paid plan while in the US @HTC.HTC. The app recognises your location at the time and sets the country as your preference.
About the content, distributors/artists' teams/labels are the ones providing the tracks and choosing which ones are available in each country.
For some reason, my iPhone’s “General-Language and Region-Region” settings were set to Japan instead of my home country. That made all songs in my playlists and search unavailable. Deezer app doesn’t say songs aren’t available, it just shows “No Tracks” in my playlists and searched songs were all greyed out. It was by luck I happened to figure out while setting up other phone features. It should be noted this was a used phone but I wiped and reinstalled it. Perhaps Region is set from country of sale or by previous user. I’m not sure that this is a “feature” or “bug”. I would think that your IP should decide which country you are from, not your phone setting.

You should post that to your help page for future users.
