Rotana catalog in Deezer not available outside MENA

Hello! i am trying to listen to songs from arabic singers, i noticed that all songs from the producer rotana do not appear playable outside the middle east, which is unfortunate because its the largest producer in the MENA. Is there any way they can fix this considering there are listeners globally and they signed up strictly with deezer for their music however now it cant be listened to outside MENA...

Hello @mayada 

Although we already have an extensive music catalogue, it might still happen that you can’t find a specific song.
Our music acquisition is negotiated between artists & right-holders, so that probably would be the reason why you are not able to find Rotana outside that specific area. You can request new music to Deezer by filling this form https://tinyurl.com/ypcekp9f online.


Also don't forget that if you have an active subscription you can upload the song to your own mp3 section on Deezer and then you can add it to playlists. The step by step guide is here.

Hi @Alfredo. - thank you for responding. it is not just a specific song its a large catalog of all artists/albums from the producer ‘Rotana’ they are hidden from all markets outside the middle east countries. Previously they were available but recently all cleared out.

thanks but who will they be ‘back’, have you engaged the deezer tech team or who handles the songs distributed to markets or the producer to understand how their artists and songs are distributed? @Alfredo.

Hey @mayada it might be related to your location.
I am based in the Uk and did not have any problem listening to Rotana artists in different devices.
 

Hi @Jaime. - thanks for your response, however the artists you are viewing may have albums that sit outside Rotana productions. For example on Rotana’s Instagram bio they share this link: here can you play this song?

I cant get to album links just because its hidden for me in the US.

 

When you view this artists page: https://www.deezer.com/en/artist/117480 do you see any albums listed by Rotana? Ive confirmed with a German user that they cannot, which is why i believe US & Europe markets are not showing albums/songs produced by Rotana Production Company.

@mayada I have asked our music team and they mentioned that at the moment Rotana catalogue is not available in Europe and America but it will be available again soon.

@Jaime. do you have any information when this rotona catalog will return back to Europe I stoped my subscription just for that and many of my fiend did the same

I switch to YouTube music just for that I want to return back to Deezer but just when this catalogs will return back 

Unfortunately until now there is no solution for this problem!!

Hello @Jaime. - has there been any update or a date when we can expect the catalogue to be back in Deezer for all countries? Ive reached out to Rotana and they have not been responsive.

Their songs do get released on Youtube so its not like its unknown/hidden to American & Europe its just makes it difficult when its not on a streaming service to listen to on the go.

Any uppdates on this? Its really sad that we cant listen to any of their music anymore. I dont want to use youtube to listen to everything.
