Song queue getting stuck while playing in the background

While playing a playlist in the background, a song often gets “stuck” in the queue. That means the song queued after a given song plays correctly, but the song that is displayed as currently playing is the previous one. Usually, this also results in the actively playing song getting paused at about 0:30-0:45 and then “loading” indefinitely.

Pressing the previous track ⏮️ button goes back to the song prior to the active one. After that, pressing the next track ⏭️ button plays the song that was actively playing and got paused.

See the screenshot below to see an example of what I’ve described:

I thought this issue had been fixed a few betas back, but either it just hasn’t happened to me for a bit, or one of the latest betas had a regression.

Hello @hmnd

Thank you for reporting this. Can you let us know what version of the Deezer app you are using, please?

Also the device/model if possible, please. This would help a lot :)

Thanks!

Same version here.   I found that it happens when the labs feature song mix is enabled.

@Alfredo.  Can you tell me what the lab setting of song mix does?    I can't find any difference with it enabled and track mix option works the same still i think

Thanks

Hello @Brad Smith

The Song mix option it’s very similar to the track mix.

A Song mix is, like the name suggests, a mix of songs from your personal library and recommended songs. It's like your Flow but focused on a mood or a genre.

Thank you ;)

@hmnd  Do you have crossfade enabled?   I finally  determined this is  being caused by crossfade.
