Hi Android Beta Tester,

Deezer started to roll out a new update for Beta Android App, the 6.2.42

But due to a technical problem, the app is crashing at launch.
The roll out is suspended.

If the new version is installed on your mobile device, you need to clear the cache and clear the data/storage of the app in Android settings, and the app will launch normally.

Warning: You will lose all your downloaded playlists and albums

Have a good day and happy testing!

My pixel 3a did the update the other day and everything was smooth.    No hiccups or crashes.

Sorry to those having problems!

Cheers, everyone! Clearing the app cache and app data worked. I have to re-download music, but that’s a small inconvenience.

6 gigs of storage wiped :(

6 gigs of storage wiped :(

Oh man that sucks!    Sorry to hear that !!

The issue still exists, if you try to stream music the app keeps crashing again 🥺

I had to reinstall the app, without the beta, to work properly. And now i'm still getting the update for this update. So I guess the role out is not suspended anymore for version 6.2.42.6 (versioncode 6212503)?

Is this version withoud the issue, so I can update normally or should I wait?

Nope! 6.2.42.6 still crashes :(

Mine works fine until I try to cast to my Google Home speaker and then it just keeps crashing until I delete and reinstall the app.

6.2.42.6

The app is crashing when you use googlecast.

6.2.42.6 has the ctd when using Chromecast and the normal version has the ms0002 bug, so what to use?

If the app has 1 times crashed it continues to crash, also after closing and reopening. Only complete wipe of cache and data let's it start again, but only local playing is possible (and who wants to hear music with the phone speakers).

I've seen that the version 6.2.43.2 is released. Is this crash issue fixed, so that i can update?
