Why does Chromecast not work?

Just once!

Personally, I gave up: I now switched to Tidal and discontinued the Deezer paid account.

They will add you to the list of affected users and you will receive an email when the problem is solved! 

 

Incredible that Deezer does not move! Spotify will be my new jukebox!

So I got a message from Yula, saying that fixing Chromecast is not a priority at the moment.....what can I say....We should ALL send an email to the support team to give it priority..!!!!!!!!

Yula, can you please tell us what the situation is regarding the Chromecast fix? It is now the 14th day that the function has ceased to function. For example, for me, it is the only way to take full advantage of hifi quality and that is why I subscribed to Deezer. Now I'm paid for something that doesn't work and I can't use it. Can you please tell us all how much longer we have to wait?

For your information I think that Unfortunately Deezer dev don't work at the problem in this moment.

Thanks @kid-a78 . Strange: if I just click that, a pop-up screen briefly opens but quickly redirects to Yula's community member page where I can't see an icon for sending a message. But if I long-press that, a pop-up opens instead, where a send message icon does exist. This is a mobile Firefox browser, maybe that's doing things incorrectly.

Regardless, @Yula : when I try to send a message to you, I get a note that “This member can only receive messages from members they are following.”

Looks like I'm going to have to take this back, at least partially. I just tried casting to my Chromecast dongle (1st generation, firmware 1.36.159268) and it failed. Rebooting the dongle didnt help. My Google TV devices still work...

I think the issue you're experiencing has to do with your HK Chromecast implementation and not Deezer. Deezer is still working with all of my Chromecast devices. 

I have a Pioneer, for example, and all Chromecast services work, and the only Deezer stopped working 10 days ago..

As an observation, this doesn't appear to be an issue with Cromecast in general but with specific third-party implementations of Chromecast. I have an actual Chromecast dongle, a Chromecast Audio dongle and a Chromecast with Google TV dongle, all from Google, and all work fine. I can also cast to my Sony TV which has the Google TV OS. It's a current model and presumably has the current Google TV OS, whereas I suspect some receivers and soundbars might not be updating anore it'll they're not current. 

Yes it is. But all others services (Spotify, tidal, tune in, castbox ecc....) Work fine with all devices.

More I have random problems with Chromecast audio devices, groups and sometimes, Google assistant on nest hub don't find devices when I ask it to play music from Deezer

Still nothing. Just installed an update, but that did not seem to focus on fixing the actual problem. Going to try out Tidal. Also annoying that Deezer can’t seem to be bothered at all.

Yesterday evening, on iOS, Deezer didn't find a Chromecast audio in my local network.

I also have problems with Google assistant with Deezer. Assistant sometimes don't find devices or groups

I'm beginning to wonder if Deezer will ever work again via Chromecast. So I created an account on Tidal and copied my entire library through Soundiiz, and I now have a 30-day trial hifi version, and playing via Chromecast works just fine.

I think that I will transfer to Spotify. I tried with Spotify premium account and Chromecast work fine 

I was also seeing soundiiz. I have to understand how transfer all my family profiles
