Question

The playlist widget has problems after phone startup

Hello, I would like to report a weird bug that disables the Playlist widgets from working at all after the phone is turned on or restarted.

As you can see from the first picture below, there are 5 playlists on my homescreen both as regular shortcut icons (right) and shortcut widgets (left) , but the widgets don't display the name and do nothing when pressed. This happens every time after I turn on or restart my phone. However, the regular shortcut icons work great every time.

The widgets will stay in this useless state until the app is manually started, and only then will they display the playlist name correctly and work properly when pressed. You can see the difference on the picture below.

This behavior can be pretty annoying after being a premium user for almost 2 years and I would like it to be patched in a future update.

Keep in mind that the regular playlist shorcuts don't work exactly like the shortcut widgets because the latter will start playing the corresponding playlist automatically while the former just opens the playlist without starting it.

Thank you for reading.

Hey @Alva What is the make and model of your device? And which Android and Deezer Version do you have installed? 🙂
Hello Jessica, thank you for replying! My device is a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and I am currently on version 6.1.2.44. I recently joined the beta testing user group but the problem still persists.

Hey @Alva

Thanks for coming back to us. Have you tried reinstalling the app to see if it helps?
Oh, I accidentally pressed a button in your comment, Rudi. It seems to have marked this issue as Solved but I did it by mistake and now don't know how to mark it back as Unsolved :(

I tried reinstalling a couple weeks ago but it didn't help. Is this the first time you've seen this problem?

Hi @Alva have you also tried to remove those icons and then add them to the home screen again? It is a strange behaviour which has not been reported before, yes. We will see if we can reproduce it.
