Songs don't play or grey out

Hey,

I have a problem with my Premium subscription on Android Redmi Note 4.

The issue is kinda strange: sometimes the app works perfectly fine and plays all the songs; yet, sometimes it doesn't - I hit play but songs don't play, or it kinda freezes on one song and doesn't even return to the app's main screen.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall the app - it helps, but then the issue returns. And the funny part is, the app can start to work just fine in like 15 mins, though it didn't work before.

Any suggestions what I should do?

P.S. I don't use DS card, cleaned cache already.

As regards songs freezing, please perform these troubleshooting steps:



My Music >>> Gear Wheel

>>> App Settings >>> Smart Cache>>> slide the blue button towards the middle of the line.

If you are using the battery saving mode on your device please turn it off for once and try to test Deezer again.



Still having trouble? These are the steps for a clean uninstall/reinstall:



Please keep in mind this will remove any downloaded songs on this device, but you can easily download them again afterwards, from your “My Music”.




  • My Music >>> Gear Wheel

    >>> App Settings >>> Disc Usage>>>Clear All
  • uninstall Deezer
  • remove the SD card
  • restart your phone
  • reinstall Deezer (available on Google Play)
  • open Deezer and download at least one album or playlist and play one song
  • reinsert the SD card

If the issue persists, please let me know.



As regards greyed out songs, some rights holders choose to not make music available to streaming services or dispute over material currently available. Songs in dispute are greyed out in the Deezer catalogue.

We are putting new deals in place every day and updating existing deals to add to the 35+ million tracks on Deezer.

Hopefully you will not have to wait long for this album to be added, and we will send a note to our music team to let them know a user needs it on Deezer! 🙂

What’s your smartphone model and OS?
