Search functionality doesn't work within favourite tracks on Deezer Android app

Hey team. I noticed that search functionality doesn’t work in Favourite tracks on Android. When I type text in a search box, songs don’t get filtered.

It should be working @seslash what's your Android and Deezer app versions? Could you also try taking a screenshot?

Deezer version: 6.2.12.102

Andriod version 11 (latest patch for Pixel 4XL)

 

Please find a screenshot attached. Tried sharing a screencast, but .mp4 attachments don’t seem to be supported.

Thanks for reporting back @seslash have you recently updated the app? Let me know if it's the same version and if it's the same behaviour.

We're currently releasing an updated version, but it reaches users at different times, week by week.

Deezer got updated to v 6.2.14.116  today. Search in favourite tracks was working after the initial start. About an hour later I opened up an app again and the search stopped working again.

 

I’ve been experiencing all sorts of issues with a Deezer app on my Android phone lately (slow performance, battery drain, phone getting warm after a short use). Checked out logcat in an Android Studio, but nothing jumps out that could be causing this.

 

I’d be happy to run a debug build or send you analytics logs to help with the investigation. Cheers!

Hey @Rudi . No, I'm not using an SD card. I don't think Pixel devices have one.

Thanks for the tip. I used to use beta a while back but at some point it got too unstable for everyday use. Maybe it's time to give it another shot 🙂

Alright. I've been running beta for about 12 hours. So far so good. It's a lot snappier than release version and search is working in my favourites list 🎉

I know, there was a period recently were Beta was very difficult to use. But according to your level of expertise, it would be more useful if you could have the Beta installed - I guess Deezer would benefit more from having your insights :thumbsup_tone2:
