Re-ordering of tracks in a playlist is buggy

Whenever I add new tracks to a playlist, and choose to reorder tracks it messes up my intended ordering and does some ordering I don’t understand.

Troubleshooting steps that I have tried:

  1. Clearing Cache
  2. Clearing Data and logging back in
  3. Uninstalling the app, powered off the phone, booted into recovery and wiped cache partition, powered on the phone and reinstalling Deezer.
  4. Trying it on another Android 10 Samsung Phone

None of these have worked!

 

How to recreate the problem:

  1. Add new track(s) to an existing playlist with more than 30 tracks.
  2. Drag the recent tracks you just added (bottom of the list), to any new position preferably the top positions.
  3. When you scroll back down to the bottom of the list again, you’ll see the track you just moved still at its original position.
  4. Any other tracks you might have reordered will have moved a different track than what you saw and intended to from the list. i.e. dragging track B will move track C, dragging track F will move track P, etc.
  5. The whole playlist doesn’t make the intended orderly sense anymore :(

Platform: Mobile

OS: Android 11

Brand: Samsung S20 Ultra

Deezer Version: 6.2.26.58

They haven’t communicated with you.

I will try to see if I find someone to reply for you.

Generally 2021 is for Deezer a year for bug fixing and improvement of current features.

It is very unlikely that anything new will appear features wide this or next year.

This, however, should fit their agenda for this year.

I’ll let someone know, there’s some changes too in the near future in Community.

You’ll hear about everything my friend.

I no more have a Discord or use Deezer as I decluttered it as a minimalist.

When I used Deezer daily, I did feel same like you, that re-ordering especially on Web is buggy.

I generally left for the app you mentioned after they gave me trail for a quarter. There is no problem in arranging songs anymore and generally search and apps are better with no bugs.

When this is weird for a product you pay Deezer, I hope they can provide you with a fix.

Joy is on our side. Take your time and wait your response from Deezer with patience. You can also go to their Help pages and send them Request. Perhaps you get it faster. I usually feel like Deezer is great, but their response on reports may be slow, especially when it comes for a fix. Enjoy your day!

Everything has been forwarded to our teams, who have already started looking at this. It's something reoccurring on our Android app.
