Hello

I noticed that a bunch of my downloaded tracks started souning like they were 64kb files or worse with a sort of horrible “metalic” distortion etc.  (android App latest version).

So I wiped all my downloads to start again. Same happened to new music I hadn’t downloaded before. On on album, some songs sounds OK, others are awful quality as noted above.

So, I deleted the app completely and re-installed it.  This seems to have done the trick - but I now have to re-download hundreds of songs. Is this the best soltuion you have to this?

Hi @jso84

try removing just that album or playlist from your downloads, then clearing the cache, restarting the phone and then re-downloading.

Let us know how you get on.

Hello @zook1971, what device are you using, and which is the version of the Deezer app?

Thank you for your feedback

Hello

I've been using deezer for about 6 years now and have to say for the most part it's been a great experience. I am however confused as to why the quality of some albums or even just a cpl songs on an album drop alot in quality. It has quite a bit of sibilance and sounds like it's playing in a tin can. I've deleted the songs,  cleared the cache and reset the phone to no avail. Can anyone please explain this? A few of the songs are popular around my house and I'd like to play them without cringing at the quality.  (I've also adjusted the eq, etc)

Thank you

Hi there, have you tried our troubleshooting?

Go to your phone settings >>> Apps >>> Deezer >>> Storage >>> Clear Cache

This procedure will delete all downloaded songs, but it will help you with the next ones. Let me know if it helps!

That doesn't help. One of my favourite songs sounds like somebody is shaking it in a tin can. Any other advice? If I delete the whole app, 6 gig, will I lose anything when I reinstall it?

Spanks!
