I have just got a new android phone Samsung S9 and when I migrated the Deeze app across to the new phone all my downloaded music was deleted. What now.

Hi @jeremy this would not be technically possible at this point I am afraid due to the nature of our service. However, we appreciate your input and forward your feedback 😉

Hi @jeremy

when you install Deezer on a new device you'll have to manually download/choose the playlists/albums again to keep offline as far as I'm aware.
Hi @Rob Igo Thanks for that. It is unfortunate that Deezer does not have the facility to lock downloaded music on ones profile so that all the downloaded music is not lost. It takes hours to redo that and most of all I have no recollection of what music I had. most irritating. Hopefully someone in Deezerland is listening.

Hi @Flo.Deezer Thanks for the reply. I really believe that this is something that Deezer should look into. It is very frustrating to have to re-download so many hours of music and playlists. Surely with the technology available this is not rocket science.

Hi @jeremy as mentioned above it is technically not possible at the moment, but I am happy to forward your feedback. Hopefully it is possible one day 😉

It's not efficient from a business perceptive either to keep the music data accessible to all accounts. The ability to download music while you're on Trial mode is a very generous offer from Deezer, not many do that as it costs them a lot of bandwidth and in the end the user may not even come back after their trial expires. There's another factor to this but it would be cheating Deezer im sure they are aware of this too and its one of the reasons why you can't keep the music data when you start a new account.
Hi @NickParkerMusic . Mine is not a trial account. I have been a paying subscriber for a few years and therefore I was not creating a new account when I switched to a new device, merely migrated an existing Deezer account across to the new device.
Anyway. I have made my point so hopefully, someday the dowloaded music will remain happily on the Deezer subsibers cloud to avoid endless re-downloads.

I apologize I misunderstood the question but due to the nature of Deezer's service migrating app data is not possible even if it's the same account on a different device. They know better of course but i assume it's an extra security measure to avoid unauthorized access to the downloaded music even if it's the same account which they have no problem with but some may abuse this option if they enable it.
I have just had a new mobile, meaning that all my albums etc our on my old mobile, is there anyway of transferring them all over to my new one without having to download them again one by one?

@olig.60 check the answers above 🙂
I’ve been a Deezer premium subscriber for many years and downloaded music on my iPhone 6S in the deezer App.
i have now upgraded to an iPhone XS and after restoring a backup from the iCloud, I logged into my deezer premium account but there is no downloaded music.

should it have been restored?
(other app data has worked, photos, messages, etc)

thanks,
Sean.

@Seancollins I merged your post into this topic. Due to our licences downloads can only be stored on one device while liked to the Deezer app. You have to download the tracks again on the new device.
Ok thanks Anja,
i assumed this was the case so I have now downloaded all the albums again on the new phone.
thanks,
sean.
Good day. My question is almost similar to above. But Im not worried about the downloaded music - that I can do again. On my new device (Samsung Note 8 ) NONE of my playlists or even MY Favourites are populated with the songs I saved there? What did I do wrong? I logged in with the same password I used for all the others. And it logs me in fine and shows I am a premium subscriber. But the playlists are empty. On the Artists side it showed a few I was following, but that's it. I have Deezer on two other android devices and they populated the playlists just fine, when I first logged into Deezer on them. Any help please?

Hi @Lizé Brits I assume this is happening because you have logged in with a different email address. It does not matter if the password was the same, but the email must be the same too. It sounds like you registered a new email address. please check in the devices where you see your music under "My music" then go to settings. Under "My Account" you will see which email you are logged in with then go to the new device and log in with that same email address 😉
