Network usage on Metered Wi-fi connections

Deezer has options for different qualities and download activities on Cellular vs. Wifi connections (and of course, supports offline as well.)

I am noticing that Deezer seems to ignore the “metered” flag if it is set on the wifi connection being used by Android: even on metered wifi connections, Deezer streams and downloads as if it is on regular wifi.

How can I confirm/adjust Deezer so that it properly obeys the “metered” selection and does not perform bandwidth-intensive activities on my metered wifi connections (tethering/hotspot)?

Hey there @hoob, I am afraid there is no setting to do that on Deezer side. You might be able from your phone authorisation side. Probably your best bet, if you don’t want to consume, is to activate the offline mode.

It’s a setting in Android since 8.0 so ideally the apps should be respecting it (all the Google ecosystem apps e.g. YTM and YT do.) Is there a timeline for this integration?

Not at the moment sorry, but I will pass on the feedback!
