Hi there @dreamcode

Sorry that's happening. Have you tried reinstalling the app? If yes, what version do you have?

My offline experience on Windows is not good. Albums and playlists I downloaded before the 24th of this month are marked as downloaded but, do not play when I’m offline. The offline experience on Android is pleasurable, though.

Hi! I have a question about downloaded tracks. Why when I am not offline (network is available) and I am listening to my downloaded tracks, something still happens with my network traffic, my bytes are used? Why this is happening?

Thanks.

OMG, I was going to ask the same thing.

This is really not right. I have songs downloaded so they do not kill my bandwidth because I use HiFi subscription, why Deezer use network for them when online? There are strange 5-8 MBps spikes and the network is unusable for me. After some time it stays on 0 Mbps.

@Rudi my offline experience on Windows is Deezer doesn’t download lyrics, everything else is good.

Hi @rchzh @Cezar , is this issue happening on Android or iOS?

Hi @Agiro-Loki @Chris Duffy @rchzh  @Cezar we are very sorry to hear your are experiencing this issue. We gonna fix this as soon as we have the correct information from you  For better understanding, can you please answer the following questions?

  1. What is the brand and model of the device you are having problems with?
  2. Which Operating System Version (Android, iOS, Windows) do you have installed?
  3. Which Deezer version do you have installed?
  4. Are you using a SD-Card?
  5. How much memory space do you have available on this device?

Thank you!

I'm a premium user, so I am able to download the songs, but from time to time, I get into the app, and found that all my songs that had been downloaded already have been deleted (not from the playlist, just to be played offline). It does not happen often, but I think it should not happen at all. The solution is to download everything again, but I have a lot of songs, so it's pretty annoying.

I would really appreciate if someone could tell me what is causing that to happen, because I did not pressed the button by mistake or something else.

@Pia.Deezer Windows 10 with latest Deezer 4.18.0. I have 100 GB left.

I narrowed down the problem. Only for the first 5 minutes after I open Deezer I get 8+ Mbps in download from it. Then it stays at 0 Mbps.

If I close the app and open it again it happens another time. By opening I mean remaining in Home and not clicking play or anything.

Why does it need to download 210MB at each startup?

Hi there @Nels_Ayala

Thanks for reaching out to us. Have you reinstalled the app recently? How frequently does this happen? I'd also check the app settings to increase cache size - it could be a storage issue. Let me know!

Hi,

“Shuffle My Music” is awful when having poor coverage.

Earlier this year we made a Road Trip through Arizona and Utah, often driving through places with very low to non existent 3g or 4G service. Sometime not even 2G service was available.

When we only had 2G coverage the data rate was so slow that doing any online activity was a no go.
I have all of my music downloaded, however despite this, Deezer kept on trying to “call home” on every track change. This was always bound to fail as we had only one bar of poor 2G service and  caused the app to somehow timeout and pause the playback. The workaround was to completly turn off mobile data.
This behavior was not seen when playing regular playlists.
Why on earth is the app reaching for online stuff when all the music is downloaded ?

@Cezar thank you so much for all the info  I forwarded it straight to our technical developers who are currently working on fixing this technical bug.

I am experiencing exactly the same issue. It is the first time I've seen this in the 4 years that I have been using the app.

The app tries to stream songs even though they are downloaded. This is super frustrating.I have a Samsung s8+ with Deezer Beta app version 6.1.16. 59

So I think I know what is going on….

This issue started to occur after I changed my mobile streaming setting to “basic", before it was set to “standard". I changed it back to standard now, and the app stopped trying stream. But that surely is a bug.

I am trying to download my music. It says it's downloaded, but the music won't load the same way it does when my wifi isn't working.

Hi there @tinybanana

Sorry to hear that. In what device and OS are you experiencing this? Have you tried reinstalling the app to see if it helps? Are you trying to download over your mobile network?

@Nico Roof Ranft I forwarded your case as well  In the meantime, could you please change your streaming settings from “basic" to “standard". Thank you

Deezer only plays on wifi and vpn which leads me to believe that the ip address I get over mobile data is black listed

Hi there @Erienne

Sorry that's happening. Have you tried reinstalling the app? What version of OS and app you have? Let me know so that I can narrow things down.

I have tried reinstalling numerous times and still nothing. I have android version 9, my deezer version is 6.1.17.23 @Rudi

Hi there @Erienne

Thanks for coming back to me. I've passed your details to our devs to help in their investigations.

In the meantime, could you check if your phone settings aren't blocking the app from using mobile data?

Downloaded music is not playing when I'm not connected to the internet.

The reason for me getting Deezer a few years back was so that I can listen to my downloaded music when I'm travelling and flying around, but I'm now getting an error stating that the song cannot load when I'm not connected to the internet.

If this is the case and Deezer has updated their policy, this has become an absolute waste of money and I will have to find an alternative.

Hi there @Etienne.Venter

Thanks for reaching out. Could you change the audio quality settings in the app, perhaps to 'Balanced'. Then retry downloading the tracks and let me know how it goes
