Hi, I'm a long time fan of Deezer, though with the new versions the app seems to be running at full CPU time (see screenshots). I am using the app version 6.1.16.108, I have android 7.

My device is an Honor 6X Pro

Here is the overall battery usage between apps:

Here is a snapshot of the battery drain (1 hour) :

And here is the detailed battery usage of the app :

Yes I cleared the cache, all of my music is from downloaded playlists.

Have a nice day!

The huge battery drain on Deezer with your Android may mean this:

You not use Black on your Deezer. Using white theme when scrolling over Deezer to find some music for a listen can be a huge risk for faster battery drain. Go Deezer settings and select Black theme.

I think Deezer should use Black theme on smartphone as default.

Black will reduce battery drain with any app, especially you’d use for hours a day.

“It simply means that displaying black on the screen uses no energy, and darker colours use less energy than bright colours like white. Choosing a dark theme for your phone, if it has an OLED or AMOLED screen, can save energy. If your screen does not have that screen — and this includes all iPhones before the X — a dark theme won’t make a difference.”

Facebook is notorious resource hog on Android and iPhone. If you really want to use Facebook, go for your laptop and sit for a moment or two. Deezer can use battery as well, and it can use big.

Android does have an option to put battery draining apps into power saving mode.

You can try that with Facebook or Deezer.

Also please keep in mind that fast chargering or charging always to the 100% can make your battery drain fast in health. Battery health is rarely 100% even when new and eventually it will drop to 80%.

Avoid also draining your battery all the way to zero, it stresses them out.

That said it may mean that battery performance will drop as soon as one charge cycle is passed.
