Question

Full storage

I’ve been downloading albums to deezer, but with only about 5-6 albums on it, it’s come up with my storage being full. Why is this?

Hi there, sorry about that. Can you please tell us which Phone and version you have? Are you sure that you would have more space on your phone? There might have been space for only those albums.
i have deezer premium for atleast 6 years now, and just today i noticed deezer takes up 22,6 GB of space on my phone?! how ? what?!
i have deleted al my dowloaded lists and it still is 20,6 GB, my phone storage is big but this is just bizarly much.
can someone help me out here how to get the app back to a small amount of GB?
Are you sure that's not the total usage transfer (bandwidth) vs. storage on your device? You can empty Deezer's Smart Cache on the App by going to the app settings -> empty smart cache, but this can't even go to 22GB (max is 16GB on the 256GB iPhone).

Are you checking storage from Settings -> General -> iPhone Storage -> Deezer?

Yes, like @Shikhir Arora said, the smart cache won't even go to 22GB. The only other way for Deezer to use that much space would be with Downloaded songs for offline listening, but that should clear up once you clear the cache too 🙂
I have only 75 songs, but it says that my deezer holds down 10GB. how is it possible?

@magdalena I moved your post to this topic. Please delete the smart cache in the app settings and restart the app. Does that help?
How can i delete the smart chace?

Ok, in your Deezer app go to App settings --> scroll down to Smart cache and move the dot on the smart cache bar to the far left.
Afterwards restart the app and move the bar to the right again. That should delete/ reset the smart cache.

Do you still have the issue after doing so?
Thank you!!
Why does my phone memory become full up from using Deezer even though I'm not downloading anything?

@John McCormack This is probably caused by the smart cache which stores the tracks that are not being downloaded, but you've recently listened to. Please go to app settings and decrease the size of the smart cache and restart the app. That should release some storage on the phone 🙂
I do believe there is something wrong with the App, storage runs up even if smart cache is empty. I racked up 32gb on my iPad and don’t know how to clear it. Already deleted almost half of my downloads but the used space hasn’t changed.
