I have exactly the same issue, except for the mentioned setting is enabled on my phone.
Any other thoughts please?

Do you have Deezer's latest update installed? Was that working before and now stopped or did it never work as intended?

Hi Ana, sorry for late response and overquoting, real pain to use the community in-app.
Latest one installed.
The problem is here from day 1 (about a month a ago), set it almost after the installation.
Thanks.

Hi Max, we weren't able to reproduce the issue on different devices. Could be a device specific issue. What's the model you are using?

Hi Anja, it's a Xiaomi Redmi 3s running latest OTA MIUI 9.2.2.0 (Android 6.0.1). The same behavior with stock MIUI 8.

Hi there, checking with our devs it might be related to a third party anti virus app that is installed. Can you please try to uninstall and reinstall the app. It could also have to do with the SD card if you have one. Please try to uninstall and reinstall the app for the moment.

Hi there, thanks for the suggestion!
Might be the case, Xiaomi stock MIUI firmware comes with an antivirus module preinstalled. I'm not sure if there is a way to get rid of that without rooting the phone.
No SD card currently onboard.
Have removed and reinstalled Deezer app from market. No luck unfortunately...
Thanks.

upd.: just in case, should that assist on troubleshooting. on the very same phone, the app seems also causing fast battery draining in background. I mean: in the morning I'm listening deezer flow on my way to office, then stop (not pause) it. Around an evening of such a day I have to recharge my 4000mAh battery (normally runs for 2 days). This mentioned here just for an idea of possible wakelock or whatever it calls on Android.

Hi Max, is there a possibility to disable the anti virus module to check if that changes anything?
Also I'm happy to check if there are other users reporting a high battery usage. But do you mean that Deezer is using a lot of battery while it's only "open" in the background but not even playing music? That'd be really strange. Are there any other apps running in the background at the same time? Also have you tried to fully close Deezer to check if that makes a difference?

Hi Anja, I think these are all possible settings here, attached.
Concerning the rest.. while testing, I have re-enabled system settings for the Deezer app notifications. Now I can see that returning (and actually annoying a bit) notification "Do you want to listen some music" every hour.
Suppose, this is a culprit for the battery draining. The notification was simply hidden in the past.

Hi Max, that's really strange. We were not able to reproduce the issue. It might be a setting or another service on the phone causing this. But I'm happy to pass this on to the tech team again.
But there will be an update of Deezer for Android available very soon! Please install that (when available) and in case I don't have any update until then, could you let us know if the update solved the issue?
