Deezer pausing after every song in my car

I have had the issue on two android phones now (both Sony Xperias). I connect to a 2015 VW tiguan factory fitted radio. This is done via BT audio (not Android auto). No matter how many cache clears. Uninstall and reinstals , no matter what system settings I use (car, phone or app settings) or, if I open the app before starting the car or after. The app pauses after every song every time. It only happens in my car. Not my sound bar or head phones. My wife's Apple music plays perfectly in my car over BT. 

 

I am so frustrated by this issue that, I am days away from leaving Deezer.

@Deezer are you going to help or, should I cancel the subscription?

Hi @Stubie I understand your frustration, but Deezer does not work with BT audio, and you’ll need to use Android auto

Thanks, I assume Deezer will be paying the £250 for me to purchase android auto?

Not all cars have android auto or Apple car play. You've designed an app that does not meet my user need. Surely it would not be too much to ask for the app to work via BT. What UR have you done?

 

Quite simply, I will be cancelling my subscription and going to spotify.... because they works.

I duly noted your feedback and passed it on. One of our big focuses for 2021 is to improve our connectivity, either with cars, voice devices and speakers.

I'm also disappointed to hear such a recent model (2015 VW) doesn't have App-Connect. Have you checked for more info here? https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/connected-services/connected-car/app-connect

You can connect to any car via Bluetooth, even without AA or CarPlay, but our app needs to be improved in terms of playback, especially if you're facing these issues.

Most cars are compatible with AA, hence why we're able to provide that experience, especially because of our size (not everything we'd like to have is fully developed yet).

I trust you understand and that you have the patience to stay tuned for improvements this year.

My Deezer stops, and saying that i cant play on more devices. Im only have Deezer on my phone, and have never played on other devices. I will not pay for more Deezer Hifi.

Err Deezer, in hate to ask but...are you insane? Saying most cars are Android Auto compatible is irrelevant if your app isn't. 

 

My car has android auto, it works fine. This app has technical barriers. And App connect is an added feature on cars that people have to pay for. 

 

Simply saying buy that rather than designing your app for user needs is a massive failing. And I have already cancelled my subscription to go to Spotify that works fantastic on my sound bar, phone and in car. 

 

Your lack of user research is costing you reputation and customers. 

 

I am by trade, a digital product owner. If I handled my products like Deezer, I'd be out of a job!

However, I'm certain that you misunderstood me above - our app has obvious limitations which we're working to resolve. That's also, with connectivity, a big focus for us this year.

I use my app thro bt audio in both my cars (16 plate Leon and 16 plate octavia vrs). My phone works fine(android) however my husbands phone(Sony Xperia) doesn't and has this same issue regarding the pausing after each track.

 

What can be done please as we pay for deezer family and only myself can use it 😡😡

 

My husband wants to ditch this and get Spotify as it works fine in his car after a free trial he had.

Which is your internet connection? Is it reliable at all?

Have you tried if there’s any difference when you download lists Offline.

Have you tried to increase cache for 1 GB? Try this all out and let us know how it works.
