I just suscribed for HIFI and tried with chromecast and nvidia shield app, and im not getting HQ.

Checked quality with my Yamaha received and in every scenario quality is only 48Khz.

Only way to make it work is my play in my phone and over Yamaha app (which is horrible)

I found is this forum people with same issue and still no fix? Whats the point of pay an extra for poor quality?

Hi Diego @Diego Olivera

You should be able to stream FLAC streams through Chromecast. From what you've written though I think you're confusing the PCM sampling rate at 48 kHz, the standard DVD sampling rate (CDs use 44.1 kHz) with audio stream bitrate which is presumably 1,411 kB/s for Deezer HiFi. The first is an audio signal used as a carrier between your Chromecast device and receiver's audio input path while the second is the bitrate of the data being carried on it. A 48 kHz sampling rate is more than sufficient to transmit any sound that the human ear can hear. Google the Nyquist–Shannon theorem for more details on this.
