Deezer, why we are continuously pointed to trouble shooting steps to format our storage, re-install app without Deezer to fix this cache problem FOREVER?

mae, Deezer has so good interface and past and will kill itself with stupid android issue
I have been a Deezer user on Android for many years, have had the same phone for about 18 months but over the last couple of months I have been getting "Request content not loading" very frequently.

This seems to be when playing music live rather than downloaded so looks like a Smart Cache issue. I've factory reset my phone and reinstalled Deezer and the problem persists, only changing the storage location to local away from the SD card resolves the issue.

It's simply not acceptable to just change the storage location to local as a fix though. If you can't fix it what we need is to have two different storage location options, one for Smart Cache (happy to have this local) and one for downloaded which must have the option to use SD.

I am going to try formatting my SD card to see if this resolves it.

Hi @Monder sorry about that. We are aware of the issue and have forwarded this many times. However, as for now this is the only solution. We hope to get this fixed in the near future. i am sorry if I am not able to give you a more satisfying answer.
I've seen that whenever i'm going out of the country i was in when i first make my subscription deezer stop functioning or is just shuffling... There is one big "moment" i'm suppose to wait.
I need a fix. What should i do?
Even the music i download it for offline use doesn't want to play.
Stuck on "just one moment" screen before the actual song play.

Online or offline, it just displays a loading pop-up put nothing happens. That's a pretty heavy issue, the app has been useless for some days now.

EDIT: Apparently solved with the troubleshooting (disinstall, remove SD card, install again, insert SD card). Hope this is the last time something like this happens.

I have been noticing issues with the connection, first I thought it was my WiFi but I open YouTube and it works. I'm very upset right now because I can't listen to music unless I have downloaded it. I guess this is because the last update.

My Android is connected to my Cardo headset which is mounted on my helmet.
When I hit play on the headsetwhen the Deezer app is open on my phone, Deezer starts playing. However pausing or stopping doesn't work. The song keeps on playing.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried reinstalling the app?
My music will stop an it says can not load content it has done this a few times now on different songs i have never had a problem till this week
About 1 out of 3 songs wont load, I got the app about 1 1/2 weeks ago worked great, last few days like 3 songs will play then freezes.
Retry will not work no matter how many times I try.


All songs are on "downloaded" list.

Could you try the following steps, exactly in this order, to see if it helps with your issue?

  • make sure you're connected to a wifi network
  • uninstall Deezer
  • clean your phone's cache
  • remove the SD card
  • turn off your phone
  • reinstall Deezer
  • open Deezer and download at least one album or playlist
  • reinsert the SD card

I use a Samsung galaxy note 9. I have just cleared the cache and the data, uninstalled and installed the app. The first song I played after installing plays like a scratched CD. It's really bad
I've been experiencing this issue on my previous Samsung galaxy S6 for several months.
